Tokyo Sushi & Steak House — Restaurant in Smyrna

My family and I came here last night to celebrate my 29th birthday. When you walk in, it's a quaint little restaurant with such a beautiful setting. The front part of this restaurant is like for a dine-in experience if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. When you walk to the left side of the restaurant, it opens up to multiple Hibachi dining areas that has spacious seating arrangements to where you are sitting comfortably and not elbow to elbow like most places are.

Our cook, Mr. Jeff, was such an amazing cook and entertainer! He had my family and I along with another young lady that was sitting in our section involved throughout the whole meal. I have never had a cook be so entertaining like Jeff was. He had every single one of us laughing, having fun, and enjoying the time we were having. I have been to 2 other hibachi restaurants and none of them came close to being this amazing like this place is. Mr. Jeff had a squirt bottle full of sake and was giving all of us at the table shots, which was super fun!! He even had my 8 year old involved in the shot partaking with a baby bottle full of kool-aid and made sure that she wasn't left out. That's what I love most about this restaurant, having EVERYONE involved and nobody being left out.

Now to the food: The food was off the charts AMAZING!!! I had gotten the Filet Mignon with fried rice and veggies. Ugh!! I've never had such delicious food from a Hibachi restaurant. The sushi is really fresh and full of flavor. I had gotten the Crispy Dragon Roll and it was absolutely on point. The avocado was still green with no trace of turning brown, the eel was so tender and fresh, everything was perfect to the point there is no words to describe it. I just highly recommend trying this roll out for yourself because you will not be disappointed. Our server was such a sweetheart and was on top of everything without any of us having to ask for much of anything.

If you're looking for a great family-fun experience, amazing food, and atmosphere I highly recommend coming here. Great prices, great food, amazing drinks, amazing staff, and such an amazing experience. I promise that you and your children will not be disappointed coming here and it's amazing for birthdays. If I could give more than 5 stars, I sure would because this little restaurant is all out amazing! I will be coming back soon. Thank you all for such an amazing birthday and fun...

Holy wow this is how you do Hibachi!

The atmosphere is vibrant, classy, and most of all comfortable. I can’t say enough about how delicious the food was. Get the steak medium rare, it’s divine, trust me.

Everything is quite clean and tidy, big points for that.

Our chef went the full mile, from chucking veggies to us to try to catch in our mouths, which was way harder than it sounds, to even offering to let us taste the sake which I had never tried so that was delightful! Sake is gross but now I know that…

Somehow the guy made it all look effortless!

The whole presentation was entertaining and comfortable. I was watching him do all the fire tricks and grinning like a kid! He did do the onion volcano too, which is super important and I can’t explain why.

I also noticed that the staff was all smiling and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which is rare in restaurants these days so they must be doing something right. They weren’t just that fake kind of happy for show either, they were smiling and being polite to each other even when nobody was watching. One waiter heard me talking about roller coasters and enthusiastically started talking with me about the amusement park I had mentioned, I really love friendly staff like that. The whole atmosphere can be made or broken with the staff and this place has top tier staff!

Denny was an amazing chef!!! He was extremely funny and kept us all laughing nonstop!!! Don’t forget the food, super quick and tasty!!! Kelly was an awesome host, she was extremely nice and let me know about the turtle that I’m going to try out next time!!! They both knew Spanish and that made the evening even better!!! “Ponte chingon” what an inside joke now! ahaha best experience! And it’s a hibachi thats super close to home?? This is going to be our go to spot for special occasions! The food was amazing! They just gained another happy 6 customers! I’m glad that when I worked @ del taco in 2016 I always eyed the restaurant wanting to go, and now tonight was the night! NO REGRETS!!! Amazing customer service! Hibachi’s last seating is @9 and we got there just in time! We didn’t feel rushed at all either like some other restaurants, we felt welcomed and that was such a wonderful thing! Ya know the scenario when you have the procrastinating to get dressed family when you’re starving... LOL this place is fantastic!!

Update : 2/17/22 We came again and Kim was the chef! He was very nice and we were all dying laughing when my sister couldn’t catch the food in her mouth xD she almost went through the whole bowl 😂😂 like it was super funny xD there was hella pieces on the floor 😂😂 it was a really relaxing night today...
