Nawlins Praline Candy & More — Restaurant in Snellville

Kept seeing the hype so I finally gave in. Ordered first time and it appeared my order didn't go through. Ordered a second time because being from Louisiana I really wanted the pound cake praline. Turns out first order did go through and was delivered. I immediately attempted to cancel the second order. I was told it had already shipped and my delivery was expected on a Thursday. I responded that my tracking said by 9 p.m. on Saturday. I was given some excuse about tracking could be off and that the order had shipped so I couldn't cancel. First shipment...Parish Pound Cake was horrible..I shared 7 of the 8 pieces and everyone said the cake was dry, unflavored, and definitely not homemade. The praline on top was gritty and extra sweet. Next in the order was the milk chocolate pecan covered candy. I refused to even try them. However, my son tried them and he gave them a 2 out of 10 with 10 being the best. The second order arrived 2 days after the expected arrival. This order contained rum praline which I give a 4 out of 10. Next was the chocolate muffin but love cake/ brownie. It disappointed just like the Parish Pound cake and the pralines were sweaty with oil or something sitting on top of the candy. Finally, was another dreaded Parish Pound Cake because remember, I thought my first order didn't go through. The exact same as I described above. Overall, a loss of almost $130.00. I came back to edit my review, because of the bread pudding. I drive pretty far to enjoy this place so I always call ahead to ensure they have what I intend to order. I was so excited for the bread pudding, but what I received was very old dry bread pudding with a very broken and old praline sauce. The fact that they even served me that bothers me so much, they could've just said they didnt have anymore. The service has been off the last few times I went in, but to serve bad food just ruins the experience for me. I wish I could blame the bad experience on the employees, but the owner prepared my order!

FINALLY AN AUTHENTIC NOLA SPOT!! It may be quaint, but it’s the most authentic of all the restaurants I’ve experienced in my 3 years as a Georgia resident!! From the juicy/flavorful snowballs to the food, praline, and even the NOLA staples like CheeWees and Big Shot!! Definitely gives me all kinds of nostalgia, but satisfaction as it’s perfectly NAWLINS!! The customer service is so warm yet efficient, and definitely takes this Gulf Coast girl...

I recently had a profoundly disappointing experience with Nawlins Praline Candy that I feel compelled to share to caution potential customers. Despite their enticing online presence, the company failed to deliver my order as specified. When I reached out to address the issue, their customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful, refusing to acknowledge their mistake or process a refund.

Alarmingly, my experience isn’t isolated. Other customers have reported similar grievances. For instance, a review on Tripadvisor from May 2021 describes an “absolutely horrible” product experience, advising others, “Don’t waste your money.”  Another review from February 2024 echoes this sentiment, stating, “Don’t waste your money.”
