This review is for the McDonald restaurant in Soddy-Daisy at the corner of Sequoyah Access Road and Old Dayton Pike. My wife and I arrived at approximately noon on Sunday August 13th with a coupon from the Hamilton County school book in hand. The coupon was a buy one sandwich and get one free offer. When I presented it to the individual at the counter and ordered a double cheese burger sandwich and the second sandwich was a fish sandwich I was told that I could not order two different sandwiches. When I asked to speak to the manager he told me that he was in fact the manager and I then asked him to read the fine print underneath that definitely said good for one sandwich and one of equal or lesser value. He looked at it and still insisted that he could not honor it because he insisted that the writing above said buy one sandwich get one free. I then asked him which sandwich cost more the double cheese or the fish sandwich and he says it was the double cheese that cost more. With that information I said okay I'll take the fish sandwich as the lesser amount and he refused to do that even though I was requesting a sandwich that was less than the first sandwich. I asked him again to read the fine print and he stated that that was there just to cover all eventualities that I had to order two like sandwiches to honor the coupon. No matter what I said he refused to honor the coupon so we just left. I'm sure he'll gain a lot of points from his regional manager for excellent customer service by refusing to honor that coupon. Needless to say this is the last time we'll step foot in that particular store. I certainly hope that in some way this report gets to the regional manager for his review. By the way, I was in the food service industry for 11 years and if one of my employees treated a customer the way this so-called manager treated me especially since it actually cost The Establishment more if I got two of the same I would have fired him on the spot. Read moreFRICKIN SUCKS 9 times out of 10. Every now and then if you come when literally no one else is here, you can get in and out pretty uneventfully. We come here on a regular basis though and the drive thru rarely takes less than 20 minutes, we have to repeat our order 1500 times, and even then our order is wrong more than its right. The night shift (and probably all the time) is understaffed for how busy they are (2 employees in the whole building, seriously?) Tonight we went through the drive thru and a football team had ordered 140 sandwiches so okay they had a lot to do, but they wait till after we paid to tell us it would be a while and then said 10 minutes, which turned into 35 minutes before we finally raised hell and got our food. Then by the time we got our food, they’re out of sweet tea so we didn’t even get our drinks. The manager gave us our money back and was super nice, everyone else looked like they had their head up their butt. Just about ready to give up on this place and drive all the way to Hixson McDonald’s just to avoid the BS. They don’t seem to have ANY organization what so ever, none of the employees even knew what the other person was doing. Read moreThis happened when the ⛽ station was in full service ,Me & my family went in to eat( and we can be kinda picky, but you should get what you pay for)!!!Well that had more than a few young teenager's working there( Not all young employees are disrespectful), they were very rude & couldn't get our order right for nothing.So when we thought they had finally gotten it right we paid & sat down to get our food and eat. Well I wasn't very shocked when all our food was wrong,When I went to complain the manager came out & walked with me to our table.She was more than apologetic ( I wish I could remember her name,but I can't.BUT THE MANAGER THAT DID THIS WAS KNOWS WHO SHE WAS & I STILL APPRECIATE WHAT SHE DID!),She remade all our food ( Fresh) & brought it to our table & even gave us food that we didn't even order!!! Before we left she even asked my kids if they wanted something sweet, So we all got dessert ( on the house)!!! But the fresh,free food was not the thing that meant the most to me, it's how she handled so pleasant & sweet...IT showed my kid's how they should act when they get a job. IT was a great learning...
