Pita Pit brings a much-needed facelift to the fast-casual eatery scene in Soldotna. It comes highly recommended from me, a certified Google Guide. It's the only place in town to get falafel!
So to start, let's be real: You can only grimace through another poorly made subway sandwich or off-brand refried bean dip before you need something that's legitamelty fresh and delicious. Against the bleak backdrop of rotting foods and questionable veggies, Pita Pit stands as shining beacon of hope and Mediterranean culture.
To be clear, Soldotna is blessed to have this place.
See, it opened up just a bit ago so it really had that "We're in this together" feel, which translates into excellent (legitimately excellent, not just saying it) service for the customer.
Each of the employees was helpful, energetic, and ebullient. I felt like they wanted me to actually enjoy eating, not just get through a line.
The restaurant is clean (which, let's be real, you can't say about the vast majority of other resturants in Soldotna), and the price is fantastic for the food you receive.
I would 100% recommend this place to a friend of...
Read moreWas excited to give Pita Pit a try in Soldotna, very nice new building they have. Almost ten years ago now I would eat Pita Pit in Boise Idaho almost on the daily. When Anchorage got there first Pita Pit, I was excited to try it again, I fund it wasn't near the size, quality or value of the Boise location. It seemed like a lot of hype, as most new restaurants are in Anchorage.
However, I would say the Soldotna location made a great sandwich much better than I can remember Anchorage doing, granted I went when they first opened and probably were still figuring things out and also with new employees. Really loved the Steak Fajita, tasted fresh and was filling! The only thing that get's me still hence the 4/5 review is the price. For a combo for two was over $30 bucks. Thats on the expensive side for two sandwiches. Thanks Pita Pit, they're making great sandwiches...
Read moreConsidering they've been open for a short time, I believe they did AMAZING. The price for my boyfriend and I to have pitas AND make them both meals (chips and drinks) was under $30. Before this last Sunday (10/13/19), I'd never step foot in a Pita Place nor even had a pita before. The vegetables were so fresh and crispy... At least ten times better than the "way" that shall not be named and definitely more variety when it comes to the kind that you want. The staff was so nice, patient, and understanding (which they've probably had to deal with a lot, but still) and made sure our food was made the way we wanted it. They were also very peculiar on how clean everything was which was a welcome sight.
Definitely will continue to bring my business...
