Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Soldotna

I had an awsome exspirence at the Soldotna. My sister in law has a severe milk allergy and when I called in I made sure to make them aware of that. We got a medium handtoss w/ pepperoni, no cheese or garlic butter. We also got home out wings and plain bread sticks. We've gotten pizza from other pizza huts and have always had a problem with them getting it right on the first try, so we went in there thinking that we were goin to have to have them remake it. So, we get there to pick up the food and the man at the counter was super friendly and personable. He had our food ready and went over the receipt with us to make sure everything was good. He then checked with us about the ranch dressing that came with our food, just to make sure we knew there was milk in it. He was so careful with this order, that they did even put the ranch in the pizza box or with the wings until he was sure we were okay with it. I use to work at a pizza hut in a different state about a year ago, it was a lot like this one, really small, no dining in, an open kitch that customers can look in to. Honestly I've been really disappointed with a lot of the pizza huts I've been to in Alaska, but this one is my favorite. The employees are really nice and we've never had a problem...

Until tonight I would have given Soldotna Pizza Hut 5 stars, however my opinion has changed. As far.as the phone service it was terrible. I had to call back 3 tumes, being on hold altogether for almost an hour to get my order placed. I couldn't understand the guy who was taking my order and he put me on hold 2 times, both of which I got hung up on. When I finally put in my order again, they had run out of the family boxes from the time I had first ordered to the 3rd call where they FINALLY were totaling my order. Ran out of the square pizzas he said. Terrible customer service tonight, I'm hoping the pizza comes before the kids, whom I had promised pizza from Pizza Hut, have to go to bed. You never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes service and the food is great, other times you can be on hold for 20 plus minutes and get a botched order. Prices seem to change frequently.

Sometimes when you call you get a call center who doesn’t know anything and sometimes you get the store. Sometimes your pizza is ready in anchorage, sometimes soldotna, you just never know. Most of the time though they get the location right.

Edit: thanks for the reply Pizza Hut. If you want to make it right, let me talk to my local store instead of making me talk to someone who speaks marginal English in Miami. Why do you think someone 4000 miles away is going to be more helpful then 3 miles away? Please just don’t outsource it one step...
