A Cozy Haven of Comfort Food Bliss

From the moment you step into this restaurant, you’re enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The rustic decor, soft lighting, and friendly staff set the stage for what can only be described as a culinary hug for your soul. The menu is a testament to everything we love about comfort food: hearty portions, familiar flavors, and a touch of creativity that elevates every dish. The chicken fried chicken is crispy perfection on the outside and juicy on the inside, seasoned just right. And don’t even get me started on the rich gravy and buttery mashed potatoes that are impossible to resist. Even the sides are showstoppers, seasoned to perfection. For dessert, the warm bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is the kind of indulgence that takes you straight back to grandma’s kitchen. What truly sets this place apart is the care and love you can taste in every bite. The staff treat you like family, making sure every detail of your experience is just right. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal, this restaurant delivers comfort and joy in every sense of the word. If you’re in search of a place that feeds both your stomach and your spirit, look no further. This is the kind of spot you’ll want to return to again and...

Y’all, the biscuits! I recommend this restaurant equally for the food, folks, and decor. You gotta see this place to believe it, inside and out. I call it native rustic, but lots to see here. Loved the canoeing bear. But very clean. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, nice, and helpful. It’s a breakfast and lunch kind of place, with brekkie all day. A nice variety on the menu. Good omelette, burger, and breakfast sandwich. Large portions, so won’t leave hungry. Good fries, but the hash browns could use some of the same seasonings. All cooked well and served hot. Drinks in huge glasses. Did I mention the biscuits? Light, fluffy, fall apart goodness. Next trip will get the biscuits and gravy just for those. Gonna have to make a few trips to try the lunch items...

Alot of their items are over priced! I ordered fried mushrooms and was amazed at how big they were!! They charged me 8$ (at the time) well fast forward a few weeks later and I go to order them again cause I was REALLY craving them, and I'm told that they no longer serve them BUT they were gunna make an exception that day...... these were the SMALLEST mushrooms I've ever seen! They weren't even whole mushrooms! And the amount I was given was so pathetic! They tried throwing some lettus in there to fill in I guess!! But here's the shocker......they charged me 13$!!!!!! I was absolutely speechless!

I get that this is a Lil family owned place, and their food is pretty good! But it's definitely NOT worth 40$ for 2 ppl!!!! It's just WAYY...

U have to try this place. Whether ur a local or driving a bit, this place is worth it. I had the eggs Benny, which were perfect and The hubs had the breakfast sandwich on tasty sourdough while listening to some super-sweet live bluegrass music. Best Sunday morning breakfast experience. We also had dinner their one evening - huge nashvilles hot chicken sandwich and a chicken cordon blue, both were fantastic. The service is friendly and fast. We'll be going back for sure!

I enjoyed a great meal at the Cactus Country Kitchen and Cafe and being my first, I felt comfortable. Eating when away from home or lacking time to prepare a home cooked meal, CCK&C is an excellent place for a great meal. Experience excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere where every bite is a journey of flavor that only can be found at The Cactus Country Kitchen and Cafe.

In the home of BULLDOG country, you can trust this Somerset eatery to know what it’s doing when it comes to food. Whether you order the biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, the reuben sandwich, or just a piece of bread pudding, you’re in for some home cooked meals that remind you of the meals your grandma used to make.
