No Joke Smoke Bbq — Restaurant in Somerset

Stopped in this afternoon for the first time. They did a nice job renovating the dining area.

I had the chicken BBQ sandwich with baked beans and my husband had the pineapple burger with cornbread (gf)! I had read many reviews on this establishment and was excited to try something new and support a local business. The chicken sandwich was a little messy..but I should have expected that, after all, it is BBQ. It was good, but not something I'll crave in the future. My husband liked his burger as it had pineapple and bacon on it! My husband said the cornbread was good, but a little oily?

Perhaps we'll give them another try when we crave ribs!

Staffing is a little confusing for a newbie. The cashier did not explain how things work even after we told her it was our first time there. It seems to be a combination of counter service & (at least today) the food was brought to our table. We did not see any trash receptacles in the dining room. Hope it was ok that we just left our tray on the table. Counter person said our order would take 15 minutes..it was more like 25 & they weren't that busy that we could see. Maybe it's just that they're new and working...

This was such an amazing meal! Thank you! I want to go back every day and work my way through the menu.

Today, though - I came in and had lunch and loved it. I ordered a small plate of ribs, some cole slaw and a side of cornbread.

Everyone working there really cared about helping you order the meal you'd really enjoy - just to make sure you had the best experience.

Did I mention the place was super clean and spotless?

Back to the meal, the cornbread (gluten free) was amazing - it very well become my new definition of a comfort-food starter. The ribs - which were amazing -fell off the bones. This is tall order for this part of the country I might add.

The sauce!  Whoah - the sauce is why this place is here. Your sauce will make your meal. Seriously - the guy eating with me came here for his second visit for a veggie option and he loves the sauce.

The sauces, are hand-made and seasonal. Crazy fresh and the range from sweet to spicy - really cool.

I have been looking for great smoked meat place that was casual, clean and fun. I found it here at No Joke Smoke. I totally recommend it.

We were beyond pleased with the quality of the food and the customer service was amazing. Our to go order included ribs,(fall off the bone) Top notch brisket, cornbread pulled pork and Brussel sprouts as well as Mac and Cheese! Everything was cooked to perfection. The pineapple bomb sauce is amazing and the Saweat Heat signature sauce does not disappoint. We also really enjoyed the Fig stout bbq sauce provided. This is not my first time enjoying the deliciousness of NJS saucery and it certainly will not be the last. To be completely honest, the day following our to go order I had some of the left over brisket as a breakfast treat and the ribs held their delicious flavor and were still top notch after briefly reheating. I highly recommend No Joke Smoke to anyone looking for amazing BBQ in the Southcoast area. You can really tell That they take pride in each menu item and you will not be disappointed with the high quality food and the kind and courteous service that is provided to you as a customer!!
