On 8/1/2023 around 2:05pm i went to buy a steak and cheese sub at this place. Little I knew I was about to face with a disrespectful racist MF. I placed a steak and cheese order which cost $8.99 so i ask to have some lettuce and tomatoes. Then when i was about to pay with my debit card in my hand the guy said $11.15 or so. I paused and asked him how much is the sub then he said $10. I looked at him with appetency. I replied but it says $8.99 then replied “you added lettuce and tomatoes so I have to charge you” I said these are things subs come with so I kindly said cancel my order and walked away. As i walk half way to the door. He screamed “nothing is free in America.” So I turned and replied. True, it is my money you are stealing from your customers. I can see why he made his embolalia and transpicuous statement. I am black with an accent and i did not allow him to scam me. I also believe that he is a racist and lucky for him i had my work badge on me so i could not tell him how I felt so I am leaving this review to nicely say thank you for showing who you are and you will not have my business ever; Gyet Manman’w.

I work in the food industry and rarely eat pizza. But a friend invited me to try out a new place that opened up in Somerville – and I am glad I did. Delicious spread, fresh ingredients, and lot of creativity can be felt in the way the owner (Mike) approaches the business. What impressed me is how hard the owner works. This was late Friday night and the phone was going off the hook. Mike would run up, take the order, and set his delivery guys going. Then he would (literally!) jog back to the prep table to continue kneading dough and loading the oven, alongside other workers. Energizer Bunny himself would be envious if such energy! The kitchen is an open format, so you can see all of this. Another thing that stood out – sanitation. The owner consistently and properly changed gloves and showed good food storage and usage habits. Food is tasty, prices are very reasonable, and while I rarely eat pizza, the times that I do, I will make it from Gaya’s.

Might be the best pizza I've ever had. Highly customisable, with lots of options. The prices are wonderful, too. There's some seating, but not a ton, yet I didn't have trouble finding a place to sit when I went. Friendly staff, wonderful food, and I will definitely be coming back!

This is my go to place for pizza, subs, appetizers (garlic knots and chicken fingers especially), and calzones! The pizzas can be practically perfectly round, even after being delivered. They are mainly a take out place but there is a comfortable amount of seating. You can tell everyone cares about what they produce, and are friendly. If it isnt apparent yet - i HIGHLY recommend this place. Pick up estimate timing is very accurate.

Reading all of the negative reviews..... seems to me like those writers may not understand how a business works, and/or don't read directions fully, and/or really do believe the customer is always right, and/or have no clue what goes into a delivering an order...

!!!!!This place is...
