Does anyone else remember the old days? With a sad, tiny playground where Perry meets Wyatt, meant for kids up to 4 or 5 years old, maybe, if they get creative—surrounded by a browning baseball field, a tired basketball court, and virtually nothing of interest?
Welcome to the new millenium. Lincoln Park these days is now a true multigenerational multi-use space. I've seen toddlers in the new sandbox, middle schoolers climbing up the giant rope structure, early elementary kids on the faux rolling hills, as well as kids of all ages in the water features in the summer. Also, you can see from one end of the park to the other, so keeping track of your kid is doable at most vantage points. I will definitely be going back to...

Right next to a school park that is...
