We went here last night to celebrate my friend’s birthday, I have been a few times in the past and have always had a wonderful experience. But after last night I will never be back. We were seated quickly as there was only one other person dining at that time, so it was pretty quiet and went as normal. within maybe 15 minutes the other person at the table next to us went to pay and seemed flustered. We couldn’t really hear but she was saying I live just down the street and asking if they take other electronic forms of payments, Zelle etc. After she left me and my friend whispered about how can you go out and eat without any way to pay… well it all made sense later.
We had a great meal, our waiter was really nice. But when I put my credit card down to pay, an older gentleman walked over and said we have a problem. That the credit card machine was broken. I was surprised and a little panicked so I just said back “so no cards at all?” He replied back that the machine has been broken for two weeks now, and they can’t figure out how to fix it. Now that’s when it didn’t sit right. I understand an oops, same day I don’t know what’s going on thing, It happens. But when he says two weeks I immediately asked him if there was any signs posted at the door or when you walked in the lobby that I missed. Because nothing was ever said when we were seated and I noticed on the front door they had the clear stickers of what credit cards and payments they do except right there. He just ignored my question and kept saying oh it’s been broken for two weeks I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I asked again if anything was posted or verbally stated saying that they aren’t excepting card payment, and he said back was we do accept checks, avoiding my question again.
so clearly I felt I wasn’t getting anywhere with this. Luckily, I did have enough in cash to pay the bill, but not enough to tip the waiter properly. I feel terrible for the young boy that waited on us, but that experience was unacceptable. I handed the money over to the older gentleman and told him that this is something that should’ve been stated when we sat down, not at the end of our meal. And know looking back they probably did the same thing to the lady that was eating there when we got there. The food was good. The waiter was friendly, but that experience and putting us on the spot at the end like that felt very shifty and I will not be going...
Read moreWe arrived around 12:30 PM for our lunch at the restaurant. Upon entering, we found ourselves as the sole occupants inside, while another group of three patrons occupied an outdoor table. Our order comprised an appetizer, a salad, and the special meat grill mix with the choice of couscous instead of rice. The appetizer and salad were promptly served and exceeded our expectations in taste.
However, our experience took a turn when the main attraction, the mixed grill plate, didn't arrive for nearly an hour. Interestingly, we observed the waiter delivering food to the outdoor patrons. Curiously, he approached our table with a plate meant for the outside patrons before returning it and clarifying that our food had been mistakenly given to them. He proposed an alternative option, a fish platter, which we declined. Frustration growing, we eventually made the decision to leave, as waiting for the correct dish seemed unfeasible.
As we were departing, we witnessed a restaurant staff member delivering the fish platter to the intended patrons while carrying away the grill mix. After settling the bill, we exited the restaurant. Unexpectedly, the waiter caught up to us outside, extending a sincere apology in the form of a complimentary takeout plate of food. This gesture was impressively swift. We expressed our gratitude and proceeded on our way.
Upon sampling the offered food at home, we made an unsettling discovery. Among the pieces of meat in the dish were remnants of rice. We couldn't help but speculate whether this was indeed the original grill mix that had been mistakenly served to the outdoor patrons before being retracted.
All in all, our visit to the restaurant was marked by a series of unfortunate mishaps, from the mix-up in orders to the extended wait time. While the staff's efforts to rectify the situation were appreciated, the overall experience left us questioning the attention to detail in the kitchen and the overall smoothness of...
Read moreThe service, manager and business practice were terrible. There is some illegal practice going on here. Before we left the creepy manager with the glasses ( Kal N) stopped us because we didn't tip them the full 18% since we tipped them 15%. He was ready to cross the tip we put and put the tip himself to teach us a lesson. Telling us he has to now pay his staff because we aren't giving the tip to pay his staff for him. But before he did change the tip we took the picture of the reset just incase he did and he stopped what he did and told us to get out with anger. Don't trust this place. When we were trying to look at the menu in the beginning the manager came and was trying to take the order and didn't allow us to look at the menu and was telling us if we don't order now we won't get our food until midnight and it was 8pm at the time. The food's mediocre. The amount of food you get for the high price is not worth it at all. I would rather go to a fast food mediterranean place than here. The portion size was small when I got the lamb kebab which was $22. I thought that was ridiculous. They kept trying their best to rush us out. At one point one of the waiters was trying to take my plate when I was working on my food and told him to stop since I wasn't done. They brought a belly dancer in which I thought was inappropriate and felt uncomfortable for a family restaurant. Do not bring your kids here. Since it was byob we brought two bottles of wine, and there was several times where we asked to help us remove the cork and there was barely any response to help us. Overall do not recommend, save your money and go somewhere else for better...
