Never had a bad meal here. Greek themed decorations makes you feel like you are there! BEAUTIFUL. The place is BYOB. Amazing spread of pita dips. The dips also change from time to time! I love trying them. Beet is my favorite. Nice variety of food choices. The mussels are cooked in a chorizo cream broth! Perfect for dipping! The rabbit is really good here. I have gotten it many times. Must try~ The lamb shank is fall off the bone good. Cooked very thoroughly The xrino me meli is also fall off the bone good! Pork shank also served with graviera polenta. The graviera polenta is my favorite thing to eat actually. Not really a fan of the desserts but that doesn't really count against them..... I'm always WAY to full from the food to care for ordering desserts! Great place for lunch as well.

I realize it’s not easy in the restaurant business, especially these days. But there really is no excuse for the abominable treatment of food being served at Kyma. Their biggest mistake: pre-cooking all their grilled entrees and then reheating them and disguising this fact with some lemon gravy that is slathered on top of everything. The lamb souvlaki was tough, cold, dry and obviously cooked hours if not days prior to serving, making them pretty much $35 leftovers. When sent back to the kitchen, my wife got this hacked up grilled chicken instead, also precooked and reheated. I understand that the kitchen has to prep for service in a way that makes their work viable. But for a Greek restaurant to have such a huge miss on the grilling of meats is pretty much a fatal error.

Kyma Greek Restaurant in Somerset is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious Greek food. Their falafel is outstanding—crispy on the outside, perfectly spiced, and soft on the inside. It pairs beautifully with their creamy, flavorful hummus, which is smooth and well-balanced with just the right hint of garlic and olive oil. The Greek fries are another highlight—crispy, golden, and topped with feta and oregano, making them absolutely addictive. The portions are generous, and the flavors are fresh and authentic. The service is warm and welcoming, making the dining experience even better. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, Kyma is a fantastic spot for high-quality Greek cuisine. Highly recommended!

I'm going to start off with the good. Personally, the food was pretty good. Ry enjoyed the cuisine. Menu was slightly limited but everything we ordered was pretty good so didn't matter as much.

Now the bad. The bad was super ugly towards the end. We went there for dinner(5 of us). Service was slow. The waiter taking our order was rude and unpleasant to deal with at all times. Whenever we wanted to place an order, we'd have to wait a couple of minutes till someone bothered to look at us. And mind you, this was when the restaurant was pretty empty(about 3-4 tables occupied). Also, they weren't understaffed, the staff members just walked around without looking at anyone(common problem for many tables). After everything, we paid the bill and left a 15% tip(which considering the service was more than enough since the service and everything except the food was pathetic). Now correct me if I'm wrong, since we're paying for the food and the sevice was not even existent, is 15% by any means a small tip? Anyway, the waiter thought so. And he told us this in the most rude way possible(taunts and dirty glares). My guests decided to make it a 20% by adding the remaining but left disgusted. Within a few seconds he came back and said they were shutting and told us to leave. My take on this place, want to have some decent food. Order in. Not at all worth a visit since you'll be treated like you're inexistent. The rest is upto y'all. Have a fun one.

And one last thing. I'm not from the US but the other 4 people I went with are from here and have been here since over 15 years. Everyone said this was the first time they've had such a rude and unpleasant experience. And this was after a 15% tip, which, after everything being done, was upto me; I'd take it all back and leave without a tip. I'm not even overexaggerating. If it was up to me, they weren't getting a 1% tip after the way they've behaved. Appalled by this and obvious to say, we're never returning. Really hoping y'all don't too so that they feel a pinch and learn to treat people with a...

New Review - July 11, 2025 It's been a while since I've been here, not the 12 years since last review, but long enough that a new review was warranted to let readers know, Kyma is still great. Seated on time for our 7PM reservation, service was great without being overbearing, food was excellent. The Spanakopita, Grilled Octopus, and the Shrimp Ouzo dishes from the appetizer menu were wonderful, and the Halibut special and the Crabmeat Stuffed Flounder over Risotto were both excellent main courses. You want to eat here! Summer 2013 - I went here last night for the first time, loved it! Got there at 6:30, not too busy, by 7:00, almost every table was taken. Our waitress Stacy was helpful with recommendations from the menu, clarifying what a couple items were, and more than efficient at her main purpose. Portions were generous as our eyes proved bigger than our stomachs. A shared grape leaves platter to start was excellent, cheese stuffed grilled calamari appetizer was my favorite dish of the night. A special shellfish appetizer with shrimp, mussels, clams was fresh and delicious. The two large slices of toast that came with it made enjoying the broth a bowl cleaning pleasure. mains consisted of a Dorado filet (fish) for my wife and a shrimp and artichoke risotto for me. Both were excellent though I admit, some risotto is in my refrigerator waiting to become lunch today. Though we did not order dessert, the chef/owner Xristos Stamataros came to our table to see how our meal was and provided a complimentary bowl containing two scoops of homemade gelato - one chocolate, one pistachio. For a couple that had no more room for dessert, that bowl went back to the kitchen empty as well.

Very nice dining experience, will absolutely make this a regular. Prices from low teens to mid twenties, lots of choices from salads, to meats, to the fresh daily fish (on display as you come in), and of course traditional Greek choices one would expect to see.

Highly...

Delicious yummy Greek food.. the best in this area.. ordered Chicken gyro platter.. it was freshly made especially the pita bread, portions were worth the price... i couldnt even finish 50%.. took the rest home and had it for dinner.. perfect level of spices, chicken was well cooked and grilled... a must to visit restaurant if u are in this area...

Visited again on 12/16 we were a group of 10 and made reservations. it took them 10 min to give us menu to check and order (after couple of reminders we were given the menu) we waited an hour to get our food .. we reminded many times to get our food...not exaggerating.. we waited an hour plus to get our first order a salad and then the rest flowed late.. 3 orders were wrong .. we ordered platter but were given gyro sandwich.. after 1+ hour of wait what u expect us to do, return it and wait for another hour? huh the manager/owner is very rude and cranky.. he didnt apologize for the delay in food, just says he will take care of us.. but no apology.. he was cranky and showing his irritation.. we were hungry, shouldnt we have been the ones who are cranky? then he takes care of us by giving free bakhlava .. just 2 for a group of 10.. really? how are we to split it between 10 of us .. then another person in my group asked this and she had to reason out, argue and then were given 2 more.. so in total 4 bakhlavas.. we also had to remind for water refills.. naturallt we didnt pay a tip.. very disappointing service...

food is great, awesome but cant go back as the service sucks and the owner is rude and doesnt have the courtesy to apologise for making us wait an hour plus for food...

there were just 3 of them in staff managing that big restaurant with atleast 3 big groups that day.. really.. its holidays and every office nearby will come to have some good time.. need to hire more staff to help out atleast during...
