One word: disgusting. I guess I should of check it on Google Maps, as I was ordering via Uber Eats App and for unknown reason it has better reviews there. I've notice that you can't really leave a bad review there. I felt a crave for some wings so I've had order some bone-in wings along with a grilled wrap. Including a 10% tip to a driver, the whole bill was over $40 and that is simply INSANE. Order had arrived in about 1.5 hours. I've tried to chew a few wings - it was cold, texture is disgusting, sauce is awful, the taste was weird with some strange bitterness. This is, probably, the worst wings I ever tried in my life. I think you can get better wings at the truck stop in the middle of nowhere. I'm honestly surprised: how you can serve this kind of garbage to the people and still stay in business? In the huge city with some of the greatest restaurants and pubs in the entire country... Who would eat THAT? I mean, you SPECIALIZE on wings, there is nothing else on the damn menu! McDonald's use to serve better wings then this crap! Anyway, I had notice huge chunks of feather on those wings and almost had puked. I didn't really tried the wrap as tortilla and paper became the one piece and I couldn't properly separate it to try. Didn't feel like chewing a wax paper along with some feathers. I had bite the "grilled chicken" - tasteless, soggy, cold, disgusting. And the sauce was for no particular reason hotter then that one on the wings, even that I've ordered the same "mild" sauce... What a shameful waste of a food products and human labor. P. S. I threw the entire order in the trash. I hope I'm not going to get sick over this crap. Well, I'm not having ANY wings for a while, that is for sure. As I would remember this chunks of a dead chicken that I've been served at this place.

I’m a simple man and I like simple wings. Wings that are from actual adult chicken, not some juvenile teenage chicken. Wings that are cooked, not fried (or even air fried, trust me I’ve seen one) so it’s not greasy or dry as jerky. Wings that are fresh and prepared with simple ingredients like with buffalo sauce. Wings that don’t cost $18 dollars for 6 pieces. I thought these were easy, and yet for 7 years I’ve been in Boston, I just couldn’t find another place. I’ve been visiting here since 2022 when I moved to Cambridge, and am still coming once a few weeks. It’s almost how I celebrate my Friday, and I genuinely look forward to a big box of simple wings. P.s for a fast food like place, it surprises me almost every time I visit how nice and friendly their staff are (New England kind of nice, not over the top California kinda nice). Young folks are grumpy these days, but never have I seen one here. P.p.s their hot garlic flavor is buffalo chicken, my absolute favorite.

Learn from me and seriously don’t bother considering Wings Over Somerville. Last night was the final straw of a tumultuous chicken-related relationship and I’m out. Feeling brave? Take a look at the pictures of that buffalo chicken wrap. Pictures don’t do this “wrap” justice. It was god awful and yes, I’m holding the entire wrap I was delivered, that’s not a single half. (The wings I ordered were dry and chewy too). I’m writing this review for you at 6:30am, 8hours after finishing my meal last night, to warn you to expect disappointment the same way I should’ve. Giving this 2 stars so I don’t get written off as a irrational hater.

I had always been a fan of "Wings Over (insert city here)" ever since they invaded Brookline nearly a decade ago. They were a go-to staple of mine when going out with friends as the chicken was tender, delicious and the numerous sauces were all a hit. They weren't all that healthy, but it was college...

Then the quality went downhill about 6 years ago and being more health conscious as well, I decided to go there only occasionally. Now I live far away enough from any location to only go there once a year, if that. Last night was such a night.

Two friends of mine and I, fresh from a trip to the nearby Aeronaut Brewery decided to walk over to this location to get us some wings to go. I ordered a DC-10, which is about a pound of chicken. This option is great because you can get two sauces instead of one. Fast forward a couple of minutes and we all placed our orders and waited... and waited... and wait. Then my friend's order finally came even though he ordered after me. Eventually mine came about fifteen minutes after that. No apologies or nothing from the staff. We must have stood there for nearly forty minutes.

We were good sports and never said a thing to the staff, but they clearly didn't care. They were too busy dicking around behind the counter, talking, texting and ignoring everything else going on around them. They weren't rude or anything but they clearly didn't care.

I didn't touch my wings until I got back home to Waltham. I was super excited to get my two favorite flavors: Mustang Ranch and West Texas Mesquite, which are both dry rubs. I also paid extra for the celery and extra blue cheese which they were more than happy to nickel and dime me for. I knew that coming in though so I can't argue that. Excited, I got home, kicked my shoes off, turned on the TV and opened the styrofoam container. It smelled great but then I took a bite. And another. And then realized that this was so incredibly salty that it was basically inedible.

It tasted like salt. Salt and a bit of the dry rubs. It was so salty that it was almost as if I was chewing on ramen seasoning packets. I tried to douse my wings in as much blue cheese sauce as possible to try and get them down but only managed to eat about 3-4 wings and threw out the rest.

I'm not 100% sure what happened to the quality of this chain but it's been going downhill for a while now and there's no sign of them turning anything around. They've become complacent and frankly, even though their chicken is top notch, the sauces and dry rubs have become garbage. I'd be hard pressed to return again. It's a shame really as their various offerings are enticing and their sauces are varied and unique enough that it could keep people coming back for more. But not me, I've learned my lesson now. Every time I return, I just end up disappointed and missing the good old days from about 8 or 9 years ago when they were awesome....

This location is pretty shoddy. The food is good enough, just make sure to order extra sauce on your wings. Thats the only way it'll be completely covered in sauce because they don't use enough unless you order "xtra" which of course costs more. I wish I could order extra service from the menu. Some of the worst from any take out place. They get really backed up sometimes, and their online order tracker just doesnt work.

Tracker said it was ready, went over to a parking lot full of cars and a line out the door. Waited another 45 mins until they finally brought it out. I would have cancelled my order but they gladly took my payment before telling me that it still wasn't ready after fighting my way through the crowd of angry food app drivers to the counter. Did not offer a discount or even an apology for the wait. While we were waiting we could hear one of the employees on the phone with someone trying to stop their online ordering system from taking anymore because they were so backed up. They clearly need to work out the bugs for their online ordering to give accurate time estimates when they're busy, because right now it's a joke.

The employees were doing their best so I have to give them some credit. I've dealt with angry customers myself, so I can appreciate how they put up with everyone. Though they were still taking orders on the phone and giving wait times that didn't seem possible.

Their prices seem to have gotten higher, and really aren't worth it anymore for the food quality. The only time I order now is when they send out coupons that give some...
