Response to owner: Thanks for taking the time to read my review and respond. That said, as they say “the proof is in the pudding”. I wasn’t talking about food getting cold after few mins. My order was delivered within few minutes to my surprise and was not hot when it arrived. And expect for the rava dosa all other items I tried tasted stale. You say none of yours chefs spoke to anyone. When I spoke to your staff who served the dishes, he mentioned that he doesn’t know and the chef would be able to provide explanations. I requested him to ask the chef to visit my table when he or she can. After sometime, another person came to table and asked me about my concerns. I specifically asked him if he is a chef at your place. Only after he confirmed that he is a chef, I proceeded to discuss the issues. He did confirm that the kothu parotta was made using frozen parottas. He did say the pakoras and chili bajjis are typically made earlier and reheated or refried. At the end, it really doesn’t matter whether I spoke to your chef or if you use different techniques to streamline your food preparation. The truth is that food was not hot when served, nor did the food good or look fresh. When time permits I will try to visit your place again to see if the experience is better. Original review: Most restaurants do not make the dishes you order from scratch. This is expected. But this restaurant simply reheats/refries the cooked food from cold storage. Everything I ordered looked greasy, tasted stale, barely warm and served in less than 5 mins. How can you serve kothu poratta within mins of ordering and the dish is not even warm? I asked to speak with the chef to confirm my doubts, he accepted that they make most dishes a day or two ahead and reheat them. While appreciate his open and polite response, I lost my appetite. I paid the bill and walked out leaving the dishes mostly untouched.

Dosa and Curry as the name suggest should have amazing dosas. But they were sheer disappointment. We ordered Temple Special masala dosa, Medhu Vada, Gobi 65, Chilly style Paneer with rice , Channa(Chole) Bhature and Dahi puri . Temple Special Masala dosa: 2/5 - The dosa batter was very weird in taste. It didn't taste fresh. The sambar was stale just heated up and the chutney tasted like that powdered chutney we get in stores to which we add water. The only edible item in the dish was the red chutney. Medu Vada: 3/5 Again the batter was weird. Too oily. And the sambar and chutneys were same as the dosa. Gobi 65: 1/5 Very dry. The batter was bland. It was like Fried Gobi with no spices. The Chef certainly didn't taste it before getting it out of his kitchen. Chilly style paneer: 3/5 This item made it to the average category. After such a disappointing start, the chilly style panner was just decent enough. Although the paneer was a bit hard and the gravy was too sweet despite requesting a spicy dish, it was still edible. Channa (Chole) Bhature: 2.5/5: The bhatura was soft and well cooked. But the chole again were not that good. Apparently, it’s their specialty dish. The chickpeas were not cooked well, and the gravy seemed bland. Dahi Puri: We never got this dish on the table. Instead, we were served Dahi wada which they took back and never replaced it. The server was good and honestly gave her views on the mediocre food and the bomb they charge for it. Overall, by the name they should have had at least decent dosa but just a big disappointment.

Dosa n Curry is certainly a “to go” place. I have had takeout and dine-in I could easily have given 5 stars however I am picky. I ordered Masala Chai even before I ordered my dinner. However the chai was served along with my meal. In a perfect service model, the chai would have been served after my dinner or before bringing out my food. I had to rush myself otherwise the chai would have just gotten cold. takeout: ordered Baigan (eggplant) Bharat and Dal (lentil) Makhni. Perfect in taste and the flavors were right on. Dine-in: Peshwari Naan was good but lacked the right amount of nuts. A food cart in Portland, Oregon serves better Peshawari Naan. 8/13: this was my third Dosa n Curry visit in less than 10 days. The have a you can eat dosa buffet on Tuesdays. FOOD: 5 types Dosas were just awesome! The masala inside the dosa was right on. You could taste the distinct flavors of each dosas stuffing. A+++ on the taste of the food. Mysore Masala, Paneer, temple dosa. All great choices. Service: it’s a great idea to leave chutneys on the table. Make it presentable please. It’s perfect to carb load if one plans to run a marathon on Wednesday 😀 I understand the concept of not allowing take away, but my good went to waste as I barely finished half my food. 8/10: Paneer Burji was right on. Flavorful and moist. I requested mild spice and yet the flavors still stood out. The place is an happening restaurant. I would go back and be happy to try everything on their menu. I will go back and try their dosas next week.

It was an awful and pathetic experience while having in person food at the place on 28th October 2023 at 7 pm. The garden vegetable pizza ordered had stone in it and the restaurant lady asked us to remove the stone and have it. Is this the behaviour and attitude of the restaurant staff? Are they not concerned with the health of the customer a bit? When asked for replacement, she asked us to have the pizza with stone in it or leave it as it is as they can’t bring in a replacement pizza. All these while the owner of the restaurant was hearing all these and seemed he was involved in all these bitter experiences. After much time and when we were about to leave, half heartedly they brought in another pizza slice equivalent to damaged piece, they didn’t even make another pizza . This post is to please ask all users to be cautioned with the food in this restaurant and note down our experience.

Instead of tending an apology , the owner mentioned that we made up the story . We even showed the stone to the restaurant staff and they accepted that the stone came in pizza by mistake and they asked us to remove the stone and consume the remaining part.

All the customers please note that the stone can come on your food as well in the future .

We asked for the complimentary tea which the restaurant staff himself gave on the first day and there is nothing wrong in asking for something as we only asked and if not given also we are happy .

The actual truth is the owner was oblivious of the stone on the food ans didn’t even tend an apology .

Hope good sense prevails and owner accepts his mistake and places importance on the the quality of the food and receives well wishes from customer instead of treating them...
