Cocina Michoacana #1 — Restaurant in Sonora

We had such a disappointing experience at this restaurant today. I've eaten at this restaurant many times but today was unbelievably bad. The staff ignored us for about 15 minutes before we were asked about beverages. Another 15 minutes later someone came by to take our order. Food was delivered in a reasonably good time based on the busyness of the restaurant. BUT is was Luke warm at best and completely cold at worst. When we mentioned the temperature issue with the server she argued with us stating it was the lettuce sprinkled on top that caused the problem which is a ridiculous excuse as there was no lettuce on the rice or beans, which were just barely warm. The plate was cold. Having bad service is one thing but being argued with by staff made us very uncomfortable and we left as soon...

Food was fabulous! Service wasnt bad. There are, however, a few suggestions I can make as to how it could have been a little better: if there is a 3 year old at the table, offer a kids menu without having to be flagged down and asked; put enough ice in the drinks that it has not completely melted before the food order is even taken, and provide as many sets of silverware as there are guests at a table.. ( or at the very least, make yourself available so guests can request silverware, before they have already eaten their entire meal with their fingers ) I know that kinda made it seem like it was not a good experience, but that is not the case. I really wished this place would improve since they are close to home but no luck. No al pastor, their enchilada sauce is bad. Their mole sauce has soy sauce in it!! My family loves pozole but tonite it was cold and they didnt give us tostados on the side. And... you have to pay for the side of chips and salsa! My wife picked up the food and asked for extra salsa and they would not! If you want mexican food in sonora this is NOT the place to go. I highly advise to go to la esmeralda or the taqueria sonora. I will never go to this...
