Where to begin. AWFUL TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. It is time they get exposed. A good spot to start is with the general manager. Doesn’t want anything to do with any of his employees below an assistant manager when they try to reach out. He also makes false promises to employees about raises and promotions to manipulate them into staying. Promised an employee a Crew Trainer position which would have included a raise, but never followed through Pay gets reduced for an entire pay period (including hours already worked) if you call in for any reason without a doctors note. Someone had their pay reduced for a pay period because they called in after they fell down a flight of stairs right before their shift. Someone else had their pay reduced from the $15/hr to minimum wage for 2 pay periods because they didn’t change it back to their regular wage. They just fired a good worker of theirs who was a shift lead because they needed to leave for a genuine family emergency. The shift manager called the gm (who ignored the call) to make him aware but got fired because they left. One of the assistant managers makes autistic jokes while at work, while they do have an autistic employee. They belittle the crew members. Same assistant manager told someone he didn’t know what the employee even knew how to do when they had been employed there for almost 2 years. Managers become more rude and angry when the employees quit after being tired of the repeated disrespect. They also didn’t pay out the full PTO they were supposed to to someone else. Same person also had their last paycheck reduced from $15/hr to minimum wage ($10.10) because they quit before they completed all scheduled shifts that week, and KG said it was because they didn’t “put in their 2 weeks,” which isn’t actually and requirement. Michigan is an “at-will” employment state. Better Business Bureau should be on them. Too bad they can still be in business with the way they treat their employees. But unfortunately, they thrive off of the “hire and fire” system. I’d suggest not giving them the business. They’re penny pinchers too. They told employees not to give more than one napkin per item because “paper costs were sky rocketing.” So many of their employees are caught in a trap of manipulation. Read moreI cannot begin to tell you what happened here last night on Jan. 30 2025. We waited 40 minutes for our food. FOURTY MINUTES. For burgers and fries. They had about 79 people working in the back too (who were mostly laughing and singing) while myself and a few other frustrated customers were waiting in the lobby for our food. How could this be? I work in the customer service industry so I am very forgiving when it comes to this type of stuff but a 40 minute wait for this type of food is unheard of and uncalled for.
The kid working the cash was OUT and offered no help or even an apology for what was going on and the woman who appeared to be the supervisor was not too nice at all. When we finally got our food the burger buns were stale, the meat was dry and the fries were ice cold. You'd think after all that time the food would be tip top terrific right? NOPE. After everything was said and done including ordering, payment, waiting forever and finally eating we were at Wendy's for an hour. We spent an hour at Wendy's. What a disaster of a visit. I get home and realize that every fry in my $14 meal is seriously undercooked and soggy and for some reason they made a single baconator instead of the regular one even though they charged me for the double. Hot and Crispy guaranteed it says on the package. Go back to get fries that are cooked. Manager says fries will be up in 40 seconds. 10 seconds later he pulls them and throws them in my bag with a sorry. Half the fries in the new order are soggy and cold.
