I needed a quick bite to eat before going to the SBD airport. I try very hard to eat local when travelling all over the US, so when I found this 'hole-in-the-wall' I knew I had to try it.
Frank was exceptionally welcoming, and offered to make a whole pie for me, and eat the other half himself for lunch since he didn't have any non-meat slices to sell at the time. He made a wonderful pie and we had a great conversation while it was cooking.
