Los Aces Mexican Food — Restaurant in South Bend

Look, the food is tasteless. By far the worst tacos I have ever had at any restaurant in or near South Bend. The chips were bland and the salsa was decent but not good. The Jamaica Water was over powered and bitter. The red and green salsa both were lacking in flavor. Everything lacked flavor. I was honestly shocked and disappointed. The restaurant itself seems very diverse with it’s customers but the atmosphere does not feel authentic at all. The waitresses seemed very snobbish, and weren’t paying attention to anything at all, and I noticed how much more enthusiastic and kind they were to a pair of white gentleman that entered, to my disappointment in them being fellow Hispanics. The waitress did not speak to my plus 1 very kindly which I didn’t appreciate, she seemed very dismissive and quick to talk over him which is rude. This was our first and absolute LAST visit at this restaurant. We ordered 6 steak tacos, a steak burrito, steak nachos and more. We didnt like the steak and I asked to replace 2 of the steak tacos with chicken tacos, just so that my kids wouldn't go home hungry. I didnt ask for all the food to be replaced, although all of the steak was less than acceptable (very chewy and full of cartilage). The mngr refused and said that if we wanted more tacos then we had to pay for it. They have no concept of customer service in the US. His argument was that if he went to McDonalds and didnt like his food, then he would just purchase more. I told him that's not the we do things in the US and warned him that he would get a poor review from us. All over 2 tacos?! Really?! As we were about to leave, they brought us 2 chicken tacos plain with nothing on it. I mean, who does that! Worst customer service ever! He almost cost that waitress...

I am a disabled veteran 67 years-old. I went to this place to eat, the wait was long so I asked for help. The heavy set lady finally came & acted like she didn't want to help me; I let that go. I got my food; taco dinner; I was too hungry to complain. I ate what I could, left a tip, headed to the door like I was leaving, turned around and saw the waitresses talking about me. Poor service, being made fun of, & I believe I was overcharged. When the smaller lady saw me looking she told the other lady who hauled it aways from there. I'll probably not go there again. I'm sorry that happened to me; I love Mexican food. I'll find someplace else that will respect me. Take the money, tip, & talk about me...
