So tonight my kids and mother decided to dine in at the pour house before heading to the flynn. Clearly, they needed more help. The one waitress and one bartender was definitely not enough. We asked our waitress to buy pull tickets. Granted we wanted a healthy amount. Not just $20. In the beginning she informed us that it would be a while because she had to get drinks and deliver food, no big deal. We got our food and asked again. She said she couldn't get the tickets but we could go to the bartender. So I proceeded to the bar. She informed me that it would be a while because drinks come first. Not the nicest lady. So went back to the table and the waitress said they would get in trouble if they didn't deal with the drinks first. So as a paying customer whose bill was $73.00 before tip and another $80 we were going to spend on tickets, wasnt enough money?? Then my daughter always has to use the bathroom. So here I stood outside the bathroom door watching the bartender sell tickets to the people at the counter...so is my money not good enough.. is it because I wasn't a regular patron? Overall, not pleased with the night. Won't go again. And will not...
Read moreDecided to leave before getting a seat for Sunday brunch. We (myself and one other) did arrive towards the end of brunch so it was pretty busy. Smelled good though... As a note: it may be helpful to ask a surgery if people are being seated or if people are seating themselves... The sign that said "please seat yourself" was apparently contradictory from the people waiting for seats when there were clearly some available... That and the people in front of us (that just came in the door right ahead of us) also read the sign and went straight to the first available 2 seats at the stool area. I assumed that the others waiting were all looking for a booth or something for more than 2 people, but when I confirmed with staff that we were only looking for 2 seats I was told that "yes there are others ahead of you" even though there was another 2 seats that came up and the waiting people did not budge... Confusing... That being said, I have eaten there a long time ago and remember that it was good. I am still looking forward to trying the brunch, but will definitely arrive much earlier in the morning. Also hoping to try out the...
Read moreThe Pour House is a local hangout that has been in the area for a long time. They have always been a sports bar: patrons sit amongst various team sports memorabilia, watch multiple games on multiple screens while being served drinks and food. Long ago, I would occasionally meet friends here for beers and games on the coin-opp pool table. Today, the pool table is gone and the space has been dedicated to dining. Their focus seems to have shifted more towards the working professionals due to its location being right in the middle of "business park" country. You will now find an extensive menu of reasonably priced, good food with daily specials, and an atmosphere that welcomes everyone, from construction workers to office managers. Meet friends or colleagues for lunch or to unwind after work. Kids are welcome and its very close to the airport if you are picking someone up and want a place to hang out...
