Great Experience with Room for a Few Tweaks
We really enjoyed our visit! The robo delivery was a hit with the kids ā such a fun and unique touch. The tacos were solid, and I loved that they offered lengua, which is hard to find around here and shows how traditional the restaurant is. The margaritas were fantastic and definitely added to the enjoyment of our meal.
The inside of the restaurant was a bit different than I expected, thoughāit didnāt quite match the vibe I was hoping for. Also, the last birria tacos didnāt come with the usual dip, which was a bit of a letdown šŖ.
That said, the picosa salsa (the yellow one) was amazing and packed the perfect amount of heat! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience even better.
As for the elote and esquite, they were good but felt pretty standard for a "Margaritas" type restaurantānothing too special, but still tasty.
Overall, a great place with delicious food and drinks, just a few small things that could have made it perfect. Great Experience with Room for a Few Tweaks

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAttention food inspectors!!! In the world of Covid how would you like the wait staff wad up crumpled credit card paper, size of an egg and throw it into your food! This literally happened! While we were eating. I regret not taking a picture of it although there where plenty of witnesses to the incident. They delivered our food and we had to wait another 5 minutes before one out of the two wait staff we had asked brought us knives, forks and napkins. The food was subpar at best. Very dry, my fish tacos were better than my husbandās Shrimp Tacos. Honestly, we have had better from many a Latina food truck. While eating, a egg size ball of paper lands in my food. My husband see the the wait staff who threw it and yelled for him to come over. Our waitress came over as well and she looked mortified. After my husband told him that he needed to quit screwing around and that his actions reflected poorly on him the kid literally was giggling and apologizing at the same time. He said he would pay for my food and he was sorry. The waitress was obviously upset and asked if we would like to speak to the manager. Another young man came over and told us he really didnāt know what happened. We told him and he looked as though he could have cared less. Then out comes the owner who obviously is working because he literally has sweat dripping down his face. He apologizes for the incident but then berates my husband for reprimanding his wait staff for throwing the paper ball! We were shocked. He said he would cover the charges of both of our meals but that we shouldnāt correct his staff. Needless to say we agreed he would be covering our dinner and we were leaving. We gave the waitress a tip and she kept apologizing. NEVER have we ever had a situation like this happen to us. I had to write a review to warn any potential patron that you may want to think twice before going to this unprofessional establishment. Who knows what else is in the food. Obviously...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible customer service from the time entered the building until the waiter was changed an HOUR and 20 MINUTES AFTER ARRIVAL. Had to get up and get our own water. Food was not prepared as listed in menu, bar NOT stocked with advertised liquors. 8 people walked in and left within 10 minutes because of service at reception while we sat outside on patio waiting for our orders to be taken.
Waste of time, waste of money, and the food gave both myself and my young lady friend diarrhea less than 3 hours later. Horrible experience for a 1st and LAST time at a new restaurant that probably will not make it a year. Even our couple friends, Ms Cookie and Mr. Dan, whom we saw dining there for the first time as well, commented how bad of an experience they had after finishing their trial run...what a sad addition to the neighborhood.
Do NOT recommend Casa Tequila at all.
Go instead to Charandas of Rick Hill - by FAR a much better choice and over all dining experience for beverages and Latin cuisine. No affiliations there or interest, just being open with comparisons.
Casa Tequila was pitiful on...
