Charlie's Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in South Carolina

We were looking for a quick dinner and ended up here at Charlie's BBQ. It's a small, seemingly family owned bbq place. Smelled good. My husband and I ordered bbq plates, while scooping bbq onto the bun provided I came across a long hair in the meat. My husband took the plate back up to the counter and they made a new plate. I did notice the girl preparing the BBQ had her hair down and when my husband walked back to the table with the new plate the 2 young girls got together and the cashier tied the girls hair up. I was super hesitant to even continue dinner but wanted to eat what I paid for. Of course, I THOROUGHLY dug through to make sure no more hairs and unfortunately that bbq had a hair in it as well. I alerted the employees that there was another hair, and they said oh no, thank you for telling us. No I'm sorry, no offer of refund, no nothing. They are all super young and clearly not trained to handle those situations. The manager or maybe owner was there but also offered nothing after finding out about the first hair. Super disappointed. I use to go there (Charlie's) with the guys from work because they want to go and it was just around the corner real close by! I always thought the bbq meat was great but thought they were lacking in the sauce area!!! I thought the sauce was week not bold enough! Anyways... Consistently one of the 3 best local BBQ restaurants in Greenville. The meat is pit smoked, very high quality and they do not include all the fat like 90 percent of BBQ restaurants. If you like hot ask for extra hot and ground red pepper. The 2 best items are the BBQ sandwich with slaw on it and extra hot and then the chopped chicken which is even better with extra hot sauce, ground red pepper, mayonnaise and slaw. The fries and slaw are the best combination on a plate. I caution you on the newer BBQ restaurants that have everything on the menu around downtown Greenville.
