Dough Boys NY Style Pizzeria — Restaurant in South Carolina

Went to Dough Boys for the first time today to get a take out pizza. I was very impressed and will be back!

1st the food: Ordered a medium supreme pizza. Delicious. Definitely NY style. (I grew up in NJ, this pizza reminded me of a great pizzaria in my NJ home town.) Excellent flavor. The medium is huge. 8 large slices, reasonable price.

Only minor quibble the center part of the crust was a bit chewy /greasy. Didn't get crisp. The outer parts of the crust were crisper.

Staff / Atmosphere: All the staff were super friendly. While I was waiting for my pizza, I saw/heard the staff interacting with other customers who were dining in. It's obvious there are a lot of regulars and the staff enjoyed interacting with them, asking about family, etc.

Whomp whomp because as we came in we was greeted warmly that gave me hope waitress was friendly enough and did her job but when you advertising NY style pizza people from NY like my family that's what we looking for and for us the food fell waaay short of that we was in Myrtle beach for a group camping trip we came to buy groceries saw this restaurant decided to grab a bite it was disappointing when the highlight of all the food we ordered was the fries that was the side and the cheese sticks a appetizer that my daughter ate my pizza sub was half cold n half warm when it was supposed to be a oven sub my daughters chicken parm wasn't good needless to say we basically left our whole meal on the table we paid our food left a tip and washed our hands of this place never again thanks no thanks the two stars I gave (which was me being generous was due to the greeting and...

This is exactly what I was looking for when I wanted to get some good NY style pizza! We got the biggest sausage and pepperoni pizza they have and ermahgerd we were not disappointed! HUGE slices of good, greasy (not too greasy), pizza! Just the right amount of sauce, perfect flavor. Yum!! My son (13) says “my new favorite pizza!” That means a lot since he doesn’t typically love pizza. This will definitely be in our Pizza Friday rotation for years to come!

Update: just had it again. Added some photos for you all. This time we got jumbo wings (we did mild), and Zepolis (fried dough balls covered in powdered sugar).
