Get Carried Away Southern Market — Restaurant in South Carolina

I have loved this place for years, however, when I contacted Get Carried Away to provide catering side dishes for a party of 24 that I was hosting, I was profoundly disappointed. I called five days in advance, explained what I needed and asked for assistance in determining amount. My event began at 6:00 PM Sat. so I asked to pick up at 5:00 PM so hopefully the macaroni and cheese and green beans would only need to be on a warmer. The three trays of Mac & Cheese were completely frozen and had instructions to thaw and then bake for an hour. This made it completely useless for me. None the less, I baked in the oven for 50 minutes and still couldn't even stir because it was still frozen. I called and asked to speak to a manager to give them a chance to make it right. I was only told "I'm sorry." $54.00 a tray x 3 = $162.00 in the trash. Will never use...

Update to my previous review: We booked Get Carried Away for our third event and were BLOWN AWAY (again : ) ). By far the best catering company I've worked with. I wish Get Carried Away had locations all over the Carolinas! Can't wait to book them again for our next party on the South Carolina coast

I've worked with my fair share of catering companies before, and Get Carried Away blew me away. Aleene and Katie were professional, helpful, and anticipated every need we had. The food was DELICIOUS and presented beautifully. They were early for the event, set up a wonderful display, and treated my guests like kings and queens. We had a party of 6 and for our vacation Murder Mystery we decided on Get Carried Away. The ordering process was easy. We ordered the Low Country Boil, medium Charcuterie Board and Pawley’s Pie and Brownies. At pick up, it was on-time, all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and seasoned perfectly. There were plenty of shrimp, potatoes and sausage for everyone!
