We arrived in Pawleys Island late Saturday around 815pm. We wanted pizza, and I found this place close by. I hate calling/ordering when a business is about to close, but i called to see if they would still be able to serve us since we were right next door. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and informed me it was no problem at all for them to make some pizzas even with it being close to closing time.
I arrived around 8:20 pm. and told them I had ordered a couple of pizzas to go. A lady came out, and she introduced herself as Rosie and that she was the owner of the restaurant. We spoke with her, and she was extremely friendly and thankful to serve us. She began speaking with us and asked us what had brought us over to pawleys island?
We informed her we had just come from the upstate to hopefully have a relaxing vacation after hurricane helene had come through where we live, destroying many things and leaving us without power for multiple days.
Rosie went over and above while we waited for our pizzas by providing us with some complimentary drinks, bread rolls, and just enjoyable company to be around after a stressful week. P.S. that was one of the most refreshing beers I've ever had after cutting trees up all day just to get out of our road!
I appreciate the welcoming and positivity that she and her staff showed, and to me, that was the biggest/best experience i have ever had at a restaurant. We received our food, thanked her multiple times, and went on our way.
We ordered a thin crust peperoni pizza with bacon and green peppers as well as a vegi-pizza that was delicious. The bread they have is amazing with their marinara sauce as well.
Please, if you are in or around this area, these are the restaurants that should be receiving all the support for their dedication to their customers and complete strangers. Their pizza is awesome, and I will definitely be...
Read moreRosie's is the best Italian food that I've ever eaten!!! I grew up in a small town filled with Italian immigrants, a Little Italy festival every year & the Italian flag throughout the community. I LOVE Italian food, I know good Italian food & Rosie's is AMAZING Italian food!! I was looking for a new place for pizza while we were at the beach. I looked at websites, read reviews, decided on Rosie's & had no idea the impact it was going to make on the entire family...including temperamental teenagers!! We ate some form of Rosies every single day for the week that we were there...fresh Rosie's, reheated Rosie's, straight from the fridge Rosie's. We even had leftovers, from the night before, packed to take home & the kids begged to get Rosie's one more time, so we ordered carryout on our way. My husband ran in to pick it up, told Rosie how much we love her food & she came out to the car to talk to us & couldn't have been sweeter!! And the car ride was silent except for the moans of consuming AMAZING food...& an occasional "Ohhhh this is SOOO gooood!!" All four of us have talked about Rosie's & wishing we had Rosie's SO many times in the past 6 weeks. Our favorites were, the garlic knots, Philly steak sandwich, cheese pizza (for the kids), margarita pizza, the fried ravioli is SO good and the calzones are BEYOND...all of it was beyond amazing, really!!! & anyone that thinks otherwise, I'd question their taste!! We've even considered making a day trip to the beach (3.5 hours), mainly to load up on Rosies on the way home!! I will never eat Italian food again without comparing it...
Read moreBeen driving past this place for a year now on my way to work. Finally decided to stop and try it. I got a large pizza with half pepperoni and half sausage as well as garlic knots.
Pizza was really good, one of the best pizzas I’ve found since moving here a year ago. Most pizza in Myrtle Beach sucks but this place is one of the best around in my opinion.
Garlic knots weren’t the greatest. I wouldn’t call them garlic knots, they’re more like rolls lightly brushed with a garlic and oil mixture than a lot of Romano cheese dumped on top. Definitely not your traditional garlic knots and not a lot of garlic on them.
Other than that my only complaint was the price. It really wasn’t that much for Myrtle Beach. Garlic knots were $4.95 and a large pizza was $13.50, toppings were $2.00. I ordered my food over the phone and tried to figure out total in my head since I wasn’t given one and had menu in front of me. When I got there the girl rang me up and I thought it sounded off. She said toppings were $2 and that I got two. I said no I got one. She said half pepperoni half sausage that’s two. I said half and half makes one. Apparently they charge full price for half toppings here. Not sure I understand the logic in this. I’ve worked in around a dozen pizza shops up north and every pizza place charges half price for half toppings. I could understand charging for two toppings if I got extra on each half but that’s just stupid to get charged for two toppings. How about giving me the rest for the full pizza on the side if you’re going to...
