Boo and Brittany ignored us this morning as we attempted to dine in at 5 AM but couldn’t open the locked door. When Boo finally acknowledged our presence and begrudgingly walked to the door to open it for us, it wasn’t to let us inside to enjoy. He mumbled that the door was locked because they are closed every day from 4-6 AM for cleaning, and when asked why Google says 24 hours, he said that’s wrong.
If Google is indeed incorrect and you are not open 24 hours because you are closed between 4 and 6 AM daily, and if these hours are to be spent cleaning, then either Boo has the ability to clean while sitting down on a barstool with his head resting on his arm and playing on his phone, or Boo finished cleaning in less than an hour and got paid to sit at the bar on his phone for the second hour while Turing paying customers away.
If Google is correct and you are open 24 hours, then Boo and his counterpart, Brittany, either have the authority to set different hours for the restaurant, use your bar to Netflix and chill while on the clock, ignore and lie to potential paying customers about standard operating hours, redefine the word Cleaning as “wasting time and doing nothing productive,” and as ambassadors of the WaHo brand, do the exact opposite of the everything your official website, Twitter, Insta, and Facebook promises and promotes. Or, Boo and Brittany are “earning their paycheck” by allowing and forcing customers to not fill empty seats, depriving their company the opportunity to generate revenue.
I can say for a fact that Brittany and Boo did not make Waffle House a Waffle Home. But, they did line the pockets of your competitors, and gave excellent directions on how...
Read moreIf zero stars was an option that would be my pick. I have never been to a worse restaurant in my life. My husband, 10 month old, and myself stopped here for breakfast earlier this week. As soon as we walked in we could tell it wasn’t very clean but we had been driving all night so decided to sit down anyway. I got a highchair out for my son which was absolutely disgusting, I cleaned it off the best I could and didn’t make a big deal out of it. Our waitress came over and never asked us what we wanted to drink, stood there and asked very inappropriate questions about my son. When I finally asked for an orange juice she shook her head no and said “you don’t want that unless you want to be sick today”. After she stood there for 10 minutes never asking us a single question about what we wanted to order, we just told her what we wanted to eat. I went to the bathroom where I found a dead roach right in the open on the floor. I immediately went back out and told my husband who then told me that he watched the cook spraying the floor with a hose and instead of picking up the food that had fallen on the floor behind the counter he pushed it under the kitchen equipment so no surprise they had roaches. We immediately picked up our son and cancelled our order. I have never walked out of a restaurant before and have never left a negative review before but this place was nothing but a health code violation. PLEASE DO...
Read moreArrived at WH at 8:30 am. Saturday June 18th. Two booths were open but dirty dishes on them. Because my husband is handicapped, the three of us sat at the first window booth instead of waiting. Waitress assigned to our booth never came to clean off dishes and table or take our order. We patiently waited in the heat since evidently the A/C was not working. Tried to make eye contact with waitress but she totally avoided us. After she cleaned the two-seat area at the counter, supplied eating utensils and took orders from two new occupants who arrived well after we did, I finally got up after 15 minutes and approached her at the register asking if she would please wait on our table. She advised me that we should have sat in chairs against the windows before ever sitting in the booth so she could clean the table. I returned to the booth and she never came, so we left. Had there been a sign telling us to sit elsewhere until table was cleared, we would have done so. We are regulars and have never been faced with this situation at WH. Our “would be” waitress’s...
