Huddle House — Restaurant in South Carolina

I have been going to this particular Huddle House since I moved to Walterboro. Since day 1, it's nothing but drama and cooks quote, not "reading tickets", meaning, it doesn't matter to them how the customer wants and had ordered their food. There is ALWAYS some issue with the food, the service, not only for me, but other customers as well. Whether or not it's staffing issues, or the staff on hand on a given visit...always issues. The only reason I have continued to go there is because I like the menu better than the Waffle House, literally directly across the street. The last time I was there, last week the waitress finally came to take my order, and btw...it wasn't busy, she didn't write it down and asked me 3 MORE TIMES what the order was. I had to ask 3 times for my drink and condiments. Also, there were other customers waiting for what I imagine was a good while for their food. That table was there before I even got there, and didn'treceivetheir whole order by the time I eventually left. There was also a couple that ordered 70.00 worth of food "to go" online the night before and apparently, there was a problem with the site he ordered from and the cook was saying she didn't have a ticket over and over again she couldn't make the food. I get that without a ticket, it becomes an issue HOWEVER, her attitude was UNPROFESSIONAL, and NOBODY working was at all interested in helping to solve the problem. Finally, the man came back in after taking some time to call his credit card company to dispute the charges, and reordered with the waitress. I left before the order was complete, AND without paying my check bc the waitress never brought it. I asked her for it, but she never came with it, so I finally just left. She was apparently in the back and had forgotten or whatever...so I'm sorry for leaving without paying...but COME ON! ALL that said. I'm done with the Huddle House...

When out of town, I’m always looking for a HH because I love their coffee. My waitress was Brittany, she has excellent communication skills and was very friendly and service was very prompt, she immediately offered to make me fresh coffee(she must’ve read my mind) I just hated to ask. She took our order and soon returned w/fresh hot meals that Tyler prepared, he seems to cook w/ love because it’s hard to get soft scramble eggs, to my liking, but he did an awesome job…on all our food. Not to mention something went wrong with my rewards offer, but a member of the management was there to assist and immediately fixed the problem. I didn’t get her name but she was very patient and helpful. I always appreciate patience… I can truly praise the entire experience here; From the cleanliness of parking lot to the bathrooms… I frequent a lot of HH and this location was outstanding! As I looked around I notice how clean the tables, floor, and cooking area was. I was truly impressed and was able to enjoy my meal. We will be visiting this HH again when I’m back in Walerboro. There’s nothing better than getting clean, friendly service with a smile on a very exhausting day!...

Tonya Jacob's the district manager has no respect for customers spending money or the older ones that in the restaurant eating...we waited over 20 min for someone to take our order nicely...one the order was place we sat another hours for our food , drink never came, so others walked in behind us to get food at least 3 different tables, remind you she's the district manager doing everything wrong between the orders, ring up wrong, ect, so as time passed I saw the people that walked in after us and other table getting there food so I asked nicely okk is our food done yet she coming all loud you got hamburger steaks and it takes much longer to cook , so we explain ok we been waiting over an hour it don't take that long and she relied I'll throw your food in the trash don't talk to me like that. So the other Manger said we had to leave because she told us too and she is the district manager that's what she says goes so I'm like I guess she can talk to people any kinda way and just throw good good in the trash ...never again...I always go to that restaurant one I'm traveling...
