We've eaten at over half a dozen places on this trip. We've been here since Saturday. EVERY place we ate at the food was superb! We were looking for a GREAT seafood place to cap off the trip! This wasn't it!! For starters I was debited my coke in a filthy cup. Got a replacement and didn't notice until halfway through that drink this cup was coated in a thin layer of grease also.... Disgusting! Next, ordered the soft shell crab appetizer. Two thumbs down!! It was very mushy, unseasoned and I was given one with only 2 legs on it for $12! Disappointing! Then, I ordered the shrimp and grits. Bland! Nothing seasoned! I haven't had to put seasoning on any food since I was here, but the grits nor the shrimp were seasoned! My mom ordered cod and the vegetable of the day. Green beans with bacon and tomatoes... Again unseasoned. Clearly they cook for a certain "demographic" so if you're looking for tasty delicious food, don't stop here!! Be warned! The grits "looked" good, but weren't! The waitress even admitted they "don't add salt or pepper to their fish or some dishes". I wish I would've know that up front! The 4 stars being given to this place ARE NOT ACCURATE! the service was friendly and great, but I had better food at Bubba's, Rioz, Paula Deen, Carolina Roadhouse, etc etc

This is our “go to” restaurant in Murrells Inlet. It’s been there for years and it never fails to deliver fresh seafood and good prices. The staff is friendly and efficient. Everything is cooked when you order it so it is hot and tasty. We had an order of hush puppies to start while our orders were being prepared. Hot and crunchy, just the thing to get your mouth watering for the seafood. I had the fried oyster basket. Properly breaded and fried to perfection. Fries and coleslaw rounded out the basket. The fries were hot and crispy and the slaw was sweet and creamy. Several of the ladies had the shrimp salad, their favorite dish each time we visit. And there was a shrimp basket with jumbo fried shrimp, fries and coleslaw. We were too stuffed for dessert, and we had some carry out containers of leftovers for dinner. You should skip the seafood buffet restaurants and the fancy restaurants with big signs and big prices. The Inlet Crab House is the best place to go! Since we had a party of six, the gratuity was added. It was circled so that we would be aware of it. But the service was so good we added a little more for the waitress. A wonderful dining experience.

Visit this restaurant very frequently when visiting my in-laws, especially for the soft shell crab dinner. Always great food and service. Just got back from dinner and double checked my receipt. I know that most of the restaurants here in SC charge you more if using credit card, or give you a discount if paying cash. However, either way, the Sub total should add up to what you ordered. I know this is less than $3, but, if they do this for every check, they are making some pretty good extra money. I looked for an email address to contact them in writing, but no email address. Tried Facebook to message them, but last post was 2014. How does this add up: 3.00 4.75 8.00 7.00 9.00 28.00 16.00 78.40 Sub-Total I keep getting 75.75, both in my head and on a calculator. Will try to stop back there before I leave to head home, and will gladly change my # of stars, but double check your bills after enjoying their food! Hopefully this is just a system glitch, but when the numbers don't add up at closing, some kind of red flag should come up in the system.

Made a reservation based on the rave reviews. We were seated immediately, but then it quickly went downhill. They were clearly short staffed and it took half an hour to get our drinks and over an hour to get appetizers. Waitress could not recommend any dishes as she doesn’t eat seafood. We were told the oven was broken which discounted several menu items after we were all ready to order, then scrambled to select alternative dishes while we had the waitress for a very quick second. After an hour, we received our conch fritters which had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time as they were quite rubbery. We were most looking forward to the she-crab soup which had come highly recommended from other reviewers, but we were disappointed in the seemingly canned based bisque with a sprinkle of claw meat added. The fried oysters and flounder baskets came out soggy with zero seasoning. Yuck! The salad arrived after the entrees. Onion rings didn’t arrive at all. My daughter bused our table as our empty cups and dishes sat stacked ready to be cleared. Tables around us left after being sat and then ghosted. They close at 8:00 on. and many parties were turned away, wish were one of them. ...

Definitely not impressed., avoid at all cost. They play fast and loose with the printed menu prices. First, I ordered a cup of Fish soup. It was more like tomato soup. They finally took it off the bill when I sent it back. My friend ordered mozzarella sticks w/ marinara. Marinara was refrigator cold even after the second time she complained. She ordered a grouper basket. Fish wasn't cook all the way. The coleslaw appeared to be made using a food processor. It was baby food mush. I ordered the flounder platter. The menu stated it was $23.95 for a combo of 3. So I ordered fried oysters, scallops and flounder. It was a greasy, flavorless mess. Breading had absolutely no seasonings. The scallops were tiny, bay scallops, not sea scallops. Flounder still had the skin on it while being fried. Oysters, as stated, flavorless. When my bill came, I asked my server why my dinner was $29.95 instead of $23.95 when I showed her the printed menu price. She said that was the price and management would not do anything about it. I believe her name was Charlene, she was the only bright spot of the meal. Very nice and competent. We paid our checks, left tips and vowed...
