One of the worse experiences! Placed a pickup order at 11:36am for pick up between 1:30-1:40. Arrived at 1:30 and walked into a long line, frantic staff, and what appeared to be an unprepared venue for a big day like 4th July. Watched as people waited for to-go orders for what seems like an unreasonable amount of time. I’m listening to the chatter of staff who are frantically filling orders, and following the instructions of a pregnant lady who appeared to be a manager? Finally got to the front and she asked how she could help. I told her I was there to pickup an online order and my name. Searched her system and told me she never received an order. I told her I was already charged and the order was around $131. She walked away telling to the staff, “anybody seen an order for Crystal?”. Came back to the desk and said yeah i don’t see an order for you. Could it be in a different name? Maybe you placed at the wrong address?
Waited for my husband to bring in my cell phone so I could review the order. From 1:30-2:15, I’m at the right location. When I get my cell, I show it to the lady. Showed her the last text at 2:00 “9order cancelled unable to be filled. 107 Clemson Rd”. She said well I promise you I didn’t cancel your order.
The most unconcerned, unempathetic, unprofessional, non-chalant, and careless way to handle a customer. Especially someone who placed an order. No apology. No offer to place an expedited order…nothing. Just a huge waste of time on the holiday. Thanks...
Read moreAs a man from the Garden State, I've had my fair share of barbecue adventures across this fine nation, but let me tell you, Maurice's Piggy Park is in a league of its own! From the moment I waddled in, enticed by the tantalizing aroma of smoky goodness, to the moment I rolled out with a belly full of joy, every aspect of this joint had me grinning like a pig in a mud bath.
Let's talk about the food, shall we? It's as if the culinary gods themselves descended from BBQ heaven and blessed each slab of meat with a divine kiss of flavor. The pork hash? Amazing, simply amazing. So amazing that I had to bring some frozen pork home. The brisket? So juicy, it's like biting into a cloud of carnivorous delight. And don't even get me started on the pulled pork—it's like a slow-cooked symphony of savory perfection.
But wait, there's more! The service at Maurice's Piggy Park is like a well-oiled machine, except instead of oil, it runs on Southern hospitality and brisket dreams. The staff treated me like royalty, catering to my every barbecue whim with a smile brighter than the sun on a summer day.
In conclusion, Maurice's Piggy Park isn't just a barbecue restaurant—it's a carnivore's paradise, a meat lover's dream, a haven for anyone who appreciates the art of smoked perfection. So do yourself a favor, folks: hop on the nearest hog and ride on over to Maurice's, because trust me, your taste buds will thank you later. And if they could, they'd give this place six stars,...
Read moreMaurice's used to be 3rd or 4th rate BBQ. Don't know what has happened, but a huge improvement has taken place. We have, in the past, ate their product. It was okay, lacked flavor and dry. At the Clemson Road store, (near I-20), the service was excellent to outstanding! The meat was delicious, even the hash was very, very good. I'm not a hash eater. The sauce is slightly on the vinegar side, but still excellent for a very good flavor!! The employees were patient, answered our questions, and excellent service overall. Only complaint I have is my stomach isn't big enough! :). Free, self-serve drink refills, bottles various flavors of BBQ sauce for sale, too. On a scale of 0 to 100, a score of 93 is well deserved. One of the employees checked with us during our meal to .make sure there wasn't any problems. They may be slightly "pricey", but still very good!! Try them and express your opinion here. Let the public know how & what you liked and disliked. (07/18/2020) UPDATE: The Clemson Rd. store is under new management! :) :) Now open until 8:00 p.m. The food is still good as I previously mentioned. Their prices, just like the everything else, has increased. Suggest you give'm a try and let everyone see your opinion on here,...
