McDonald's — Restaurant in South Carolina

I have ordered food from this McDonald's in Darlington SC store number 20391. Everytime I go through the drive thru I have to wait almost 20 to 30 minutes for my order. Most of my food was cold, wrong order, or missing order. Went here today on 10/21/2024 order my food. While sitting there with two other cars that already sitting there waiting for there food as well. Had a vehicle pull beside me in a reserve parking spot waiting for there food. The first vehicle sitting decided to get his car and go in about his food after sitting there for about 30 minutes. Then I got out of mine vehicle and go in behind him after sitting there for 20 minutes. The second vehicle was sitting there also for 30 minutes waiting for there food. While standing inside the store I see a order sitting on the countertop waiting to be taking out. Come to find out it was the order for the vehicle sitting in reserve #2 parking spot. After I got my food from the inside the employee there told me that my food was cooked to order. I said it should not take about 20 to 30 minutes to make my order especially orders that other vehicles that was waiting before me. While standing there a lady said that she got her order and was missing a order for her kids. She has to come back to the store to get her order that was not put in her order. The order that was on the countertop was taken to the vehicle in reserve number 2 after I was getting my vehicle in reserve number one. The other vehicle sitting there didn't get her order after sitting there for about 40 minutes now and she had to go inside to see about her order.

I didn't see a manager in the store at the time I was there but the employee's that was working there to busy to help the customers inside. This McDonald's in Darlington SC store number 20391 has employees that don't care about there jobs there. All they want to do is play around, be on there phones while standing there. God only knows where the managers was at in there.

I think it is time that this store with these employees to be let go, start over fresh with new management, new employees that want to work, not being on ur phones and playing around. But, take pride of there jobs not goofing off. But if this store can not get there employees and management straight here then shutdown the store and get...

McDonalds in general has a pretty low bar already, but my experience here takes the cake. I ordered a small chocolate milkshake. Girl goes to the machine and proceeds to fill a cup with what looked to me to be brown (chocolate)water. Just as the cup is getting full, an air bubble comes through the line and blows this brown water all over the place including the outside of the cup. (This has prob happened to you at a soda machine before). The girl tells me she is going to rinse the cup. I thought she was going to rinse the entire cup out and perhaps go to a different milkshake machine. Oh, no, that would make too much sense. She comes back from behind the wall and hands me my "milkshake". What did she do? She rinsed off the outside of the cup, put whipped cream on the brown water and hands it to me. Now, I had watched everything that happened and in disgust I told the girl that this was definitely not a milkshake and that I'd likey money back. Another worker heard me and said "hold on, I got you". Thinking she was the manager and the one that had to issue the refund, I stepped to the side to wait. A few minutes later this lady holds up a cup of what looks like a McCafe frozen drink and tells me my milkshake is ready. I asked her if she really just mixed the brown water the first girl tried to give me with ice and blended it, to which she answered "yes". I was shocked, I didn't order a brown water slushy and had clearly already asked for a refund. I again said I just wanted a refund and I would go on my way. Thankfully at this point I was given the refund, and also told I could keep the brown water slushy! How nice of them. :/ Also, while all of this was going down, I saw them hand at least 2 of these brown water drinks out the drive thru window to some poor unsuspecting customers. Seriously, everyone knows McDonald's ice cream machines never work, so just be honest with people and tell them that instead of trying to pass off brown water with a whipped cream topping as a milkshake. This happened on July 9, 2021...

If I could give no stars I would. I've given this location COUNTLESS chances to do better after informing them of EVERY single mistake they have made. They don't ever do anything better. They don't care about the customers, they don't care when they get anything wrong. There is one manager there that ALWAYS has an attitude and is NEVER thinking about the customers and making sure get get what they PAY for. Just today, I ordered delivery due to it being so hot and my car a.c. not working and I have a toddler. It arrived within a decent time frame, but my entire meal was missing. My nuggets and fries were not with my order. They did put my daughter happy meal in there, but they did not include the under 3 toy. They never do unless I am there IN PERSON to remind them. This location is awful with customer service. I feel sorry for the good employees there, because there are some good ones. The bad just out weigh the good there. Corporate really needs to jump on this location and babysit them until they're doing EXACTLY what they're supposed to do. I've worked fast food, I've worked at a mcdonalds. It is NOT that hard. It's rough during rush hours, but it's still NOT that hard to do simple food...
