1/20/23 The Chinese New Year of the Rabbit begins January 22nd. We are back at Oriental House for dinner to celebrate. Our favorite waiter Brandon was our server tonight. He took our drink & appetizer orders after greeting us. Once our Crab Rangoon, Philadelphia Sushi Rolls & Won Ton Soup arrived Brandon took our entrees order. Tonight we both had the House Special Hibachi-Beef filet, Shrimp & Chicken Breast with Broccoli, Mushrooms & Brown Rice, plus a side to share of Zuchini & Onions. Everything was delicious! Snapped a photo of Brandon for the new review. Will definitely be back again, love this restaurant! Tef 1/ 28/22 really enjoy the food and service here. Our server Brandon was excellent with our order at the restaurant and our takeout too! The restaurant staff brought our appetizers Crab Rangoon, Egg Roll, Spring Roll and the Won Ton, & Sweet & Sour soups so quickly that our entree's came out before we had finished them. No problem though we always wind up with enough for lunch the next day. You have to come here, from the various bowls, to the Lo Mein, and the Hibachi items all are so good! Lots of vegetable options too. We will definitely return Tef

This restaurant is a quick bite place. I was greeted and seated promptly. It is well staffed and well managed; the food came out fast. Young guy Jeffery is very good with busting the tables between courses. The staff is very attentive and Friendly. As far as the decore is concernd it would use some updating but overall it looked clean. I went to oriental house because I was in the mood for Chinese food. Menu is very long and confusing . They have Chinese to hibachi to sushi and thai items on the menu. I ordered hot and sour soup and chicken lo mein. The soup came out warm and not hot. The chicken in the Lo-mein was cooked beautifully (it looked it was pounded thin helping it to be cooked prefectly). Chinese cooking is perfect harmony of sweet sour and heat. But both the soup and lomein were on the sweet side. The after taste in my mouth was just sweet. (PS: I ordered the spice level to be hot). They have ranch sauce hot sauce and some kind other non Chinese sauces. This restaurant is trying to be Jack of all and haven't mastered any. Overall this restaurant is trying to please everyone and in the process they have lost their authenticity.

For Oriental House, our last supper. What we once considered our absolute best choice for Chinese takeout, has fallen to a position of “never again”. Prices have risen- I know food costs have increased, but the price increases have outpaced costs. Over time the hot and sour soup, which used to be a draw for us, has become generic in flavor and the vegetables fewer in number. Tonight the Shrimp Fried Rice had no vegetables, the scrambled eggs not existent, and the rice was not fried, as expected. The Shrimp Lo Mein shared the same soft and small shrimp, cleverly stacked on the top of the order so that it was not obvious that’s all there was in the bowl. Normally at $41, we could at least say we could eat leftovers to increase the value. Two still-full bowls headed for the trash ends both this review and our visits to Oriental House.

Well, I'm going to start this review off by saying I hope this place doesn't make me sick or causes me to have an allergic reaction! On my last piece of "VEGETABLE SUSHI" I noticed it taste fishy, after spitting it out, I noticed that it looks like the piece was made, something was taken out then the roll was "put back together" Really??? If you got an order for vegetable sushi and didn't have one "already made" why would you take a piece of fish (or whatever the heck it may have been) out and leave me with "just veggies" I should've known what was going on by the small rolls that were present! This is misleading and a horrible way of doing business! I have an ALLERGY TO SHELLFISH and I'm a vegetarian so this is not OK with me!!! If this wasn't delivery, I'd be getting my money back !! I may still be calling management about this! Never trusting or doing business with this restaurant ever again! Update....fast forward to an hour later, I started feeling itchy on my face and hairline so I know there's some kind of allergic reaction coming on! I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager (a rude, interrupting Asian lady) and she was so unprofessional and argumentative! She literally told me that there's NO WAY that fish or seafood made it's way into (or out of) the roll... after arguing with her and attempting to get my money back, she told me to either bring in the roll (ummm, I ate it, lady!!) or go to the hospital but she wouldn't refund my little $7.33 food that MADE ME SICK! She was horrible to talk to and must think I'm just some dumb American wanting to complain to get my money back!! I've eaten here before and have happily paid for it and this is also why I know that this product was not right! For this "manager" to argue with me after I'm telling her that I'm not a satisfied customer and now am feeling sick, because of her product is just ridiculous!! I've looked for any numbers to reach out to anyone in corporate or ANYONE and there isn't such thing! This store has lost the business of me and my...

I went to Oriental House on my lunch break one day last week and got the teriyaki chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. When I got back to work, I realized that they hadn't given me my egg roll. By that time it was too late for me to call them or go back because I had to go back to work. I'm the mother of a three month old baby and a special needs child so I definitely have enough on my mind to have remembered when I got home. I called them back to order more food the next week (today) and when speaking to the young man I mentioned that they forgot to give me my egg roll the last time. He stated he couldn't find in the computer where I had called back and he had to speak to his manager about it. I told him I had to go back to work because I was on my lunch break and not to worry about it because I didn't want to hold for a manager. Before I could finish getting the words out of my mouth he had thrown the phone down and started telling his manager, "this person is saying we didn't give them an egg roll, I don't know if she's lying and wants a free egg roll or what." Are you kidding me?? Free? First of all I paid for that egg roll when I bought $11 worth of food from you people! It's not a big deal but the principle of the matter. If I order something that comes with specific items, I want all of my items! Then the manager gets on the phone and says, "because you didn't call in, I can't give you an egg roll." I can't believe the customer service or lack there if I received from these people over an egg roll. Oriental House, this is how you treat your customers? I will never patronize this place again. ORIENTAL HOUSE...

This is a review for ordering over the phone for pick up. I ate at the restaurant several years ago and thought it was good and have recommended it to others. However, I have nothing good to say about ordering for pick up. First, there is no menu online that is accurate. I would have thought that using the prices for ordering online for delivery would have been up-to-date. I would have liked to place my order online to pick up as that would have been easier for me with 10 of us ordering, but was told I had to do it over the phone. So, trusting the delivery menu to be the most accurate (how out of date can that be??) my order came out to $65 before tax. When I called it in, it came out to $95. Not knowing how much I was paying for anything I was kind of at their mercy. The lady on the line said she would put a menu in with my order (I was not the one picking it up). I did not get a menu but almost everything on the receipt showed an increase of over $3 more per item than the delivery price. I ordered two sides of lo mein which said .50 on their site and they were each $3.99. Good grief. And if the food had been wonderful I might not be taking the time to write this review, but it just wasn't. And if the quantity of the food had reflected the amount it cost, I might not be writing this review, but it didn't. I ordered tofu with vegis and brown rice. The brown rice took up over half the container. Normally, the rice comes separately. Oh well. I won't be ordering from there again and, felling a little hoodwinked, I won't be recommending it...
