This place is Not kid friendly and there are far Better Korean hotpot/barbecue establishments than this place. My children are picky eaters but we came here to take a family member out who wanted to try this place. I misunderstood the waiter when he said they would be charged for the bar food as the same price as if they were eating an actual hot pot/ bbq dinner. I thought he was was saying they would be charged the same price even if they had one thing from our hot pots. I thought he explained we could order separate food from their bar. My kids had a total of four spring rolls (which they did not finish because they were cold) and old French fries. Their “all you can eat food bar” consisted of only four things and condiments spring rolls, chicken wings, French fries and these little cakes. None of them were fresh. I wish I had a picture of it. So when the bill came I was confused seeing the dinner charge for my kids on there. When we spoke to the manager to explain the misunderstanding he basically said it didn’t matter if they had one thing on there or not they would be charged. Also stated how he had to charge a full meal before for a kid just eating orange slices on the bar, as if that was suppose to make our situation sound any better. All it did was explain customer service is not his specialty. Although I gave service a one star, Our server was friendly no complaints about him. But service comes from the entire restaurant including the manager. Hopefully other customers learn this before hand. Food quality is poor that’s probably why they nickel and dime every piece of food item, even food that is left uneaten. Which is also another charge so buyers be aware of...
Read moreSecond visit and last !!!!!! Our first visit there was very good. It was something different due the fact you literally pay to prepare your own meal. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Even got the manager to let us take our already contaminated left overs without paying for it. All in all we left satisfied!
Our most recent second visit was horrible, our waitress not attentive and forgetful. And we found The quality of food not the same. Although we understand you are preparing your own meal maybe it was the fact that we did not have the same assistance from the waitress as we did the first time with the waiter who attended us . We found the quality and service no better or worse than Ginza down the road where it’s a full buffet and meals are prepared for you at the habashi . Actually cheaper as well! The straw that broke the camels back that has led me to this negative review is , even though we agreed to pay a $5.00 fee for our leftovers , which I like to remind everyone had been contaminated already and of course charged. We where brought a little plastic container which my leftover meal would not fit in, then to only be charged and additional $5.00 for another container. I understand it’s and all you can eat charge, but if your being charged to take your leftovers additionally you should be able to be provided packaging to take exactly what your leftovers are not to be dictated into being told how to package your food into one little container. Moral of story. You’re better off going to Ginza buffet down the street and getting a much deserved better deal!!! Do not recommend...
Read moreMy wife & I went on a Sunday for lunch. We decided that she wanted the Hot pot & I would have the BBQ. Well...you can't do that, you both have to want the same thing. My wife was so looking forward to her Hot pot soup & she said she'd go ahead and eat the BBQ with me, since we had to eat the same dish, because I can eat the hot pot but it isn't my favorite dish. I told her Thank-you sweetheart, but you wanted soup. We were about to have to pay $31.99 + tea each & I wasn't going to settle. Why is the price 50% more on Sat/Sun than the rest of the week? I mean it's the same dish with the same amount of food but it's $21.99 M-F & $31.99 on Sat/Sun!!! It doesn't cost the restaurant more for the food they cook on weekends or more to pay employees or power bill or rent, so why is it 50% more!!! Yes more people are off work but that should mean you'd get more business if you kept the price the same because this man will never go back on the weekends to the Volcano. Hasn't prices everywhere gone crazy since the shortages from the pandemic? Well there aren't shortages any more & prices need to get back to where salaries are, 15% more than 3 years ago but prices are up 40%-70%. Why the h*ll is Volcano charging so much more on weekends? The food isn't any better on Saturday than it was on Wednesday! Oh before I close, we got up & left to go eat across the street at the other "Korean restaurant" on the corner & both my wife & I enjoyed some Yukgaejang soup for $16/each on Sunday. The same price as it is on Tu-Fr because they're closed on Monday. Photos are NOT from Volcano. You can't...
