BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION. I found out from a GM at another Hilton the price gouging, refund policies, and policies on closing reservations are up to the GM. This GM at this location obviously doesn’t care about you or your situation. There is a current waiver in SC due to Helene that recommends waiving cancellation fees per Hilton.||We live in Greenville, SC, which suffered a lot of damage during the storm. My boyfriend and I both need wifi to work so we decided the best option was to book a hotel. We booked a Hilton hotel for the next two nights. We headed over to the hotel around 6 pm that night only to find they also did not have power. Not even back up power- the hallways, rooms, and lobby were pitch black. We decided to return to our home for safety concerns. The front desk attendant was working with a battery powered lantern and had a print out of reservations. The attendant told me that she would notify the GM that we would not be staying due to the power outage and that we wouldn’t be charged. Four days later, I have a charge on my credit card from the hotel. I looked at my Hilton Honors account and noticed the stay was marked as a late cancellation. ||We generally book with Marriot Bonvoy. Read moreImmediately upon arrival my toilet began to flood with minimal tissue in it and a light flush. No fault of mine, the flow of the water ran too fast and would not stop. I went to the front counter for help and without hesitation Roman came immediately to help and cut the water off. He handled the issue without hesitation got me into a new clean room immediately and assured me everything would be okay. Roman went above and beyond to make my stay worthwhile. I would’ve left after the toilet incident but due to the professional and amazing customer service techniques Roman provided I decided to stay. Roman handled a very complex situation well under complete pressure while time was crucial as the toilet was flooding the room and immediately took action to stop it while being professional, courteous and respectful. He demonstrated that my stay was cared about and even said he hopes my family and I will return in the future. Thank you very much Roman for going above and beyond to transition what would’ve been a terrible situation of me driving around disappointed looking for another hotel room to me having a comfortable stay in a room with a functional toilet.
