Was going to give Romeo's a 4 or 5 star rating until I had this latest pizza from them. I would still definitely recommend their butcher shop pizza (and my and my husband's personal favorite: salami and pineapple) and the stuffed crust! The pepperoni is very greasy, but what lowered their rating for my review was their Italiano deep dish. It's advertised as "topped" Chicago-style, but is actually Detroit-style deep dish with the inch-thick, undercooked dough on the bottom and a thin layer of cheese (so thin that my husband asked if there was any). A true Chicago-style pizza is built like a pie and full of toppings and cheese. I was very sad with this pizza because I was excited to finally find Chicago-style outside of Illinois and Florida. Attached is a photo from our pizza today (I had to pull up a salami slice that fell down on the pizza when we took out slices) and a picture from Giordano's showing what true Chicago-style pizza is supposed to be.

Three stars for atmosphere because I have only ordered delivery but giving the benefit of doubt here. From the subs to the pizza, Romeo's is an amazingly delicious establishment that rivals many pizza joints from my hometown in North Jersey, even some NY pizza's. There is something about the sweeter sauce that just goes well with the savory cheese. Let me tell you about the Godfather Sub though!!! The flavors are robust and put together within a fresh roll that bite so well it's making me salivate even now (just ordered so waiting lol). If I were to die tomorrow, I would stuff myself with nothing but the Godfather Sub all day.... and sushi... but they don't serve fish, silly goose... It's a pizza joint c'mon. Love this pizzeria and I have tried them all in the area. Romeo's of Simpsonville team: keep doing what you're doing and don't stop. Love it and always happily satisfied!

Ordered takeout tonight. Pizza was ready on time, but wings were still cooking for another 10ish minutes (which was fine, we ordered extra crispy). Unfortunately, the wings were very soft, and slimy, like a typical fast food pizza wing. Asked for blue cheese, but got ranch. We did not finish the wings. I also got the potato pizza, but it was missing the ranch almonds that it is listed to come with. We hadn’t eaten here before, and overall it was a disappointing experience. Pizza did taste good, but with 2 out of our 3 menu items being incorrect (and then getting the wrong dressing choice for wings), we would have rather just gotten something else.

HORRIBLE customer service.

We spent a total of $102.46 (51.47 + 50.99) on two online orders.

On May 7th, after placing the first order, we discovered that Romeo's has a rewards app. Once we got to the restaurant in person, we requested that the manager (male) add our rewards points for the order. He reassured us that he added it to our rewards profile.

During our second visit on May 11th, we noticed that the rewards points had not been added. We then requested that the manager (female) add the previous order and our current order to our rewards profile.

She proceeded to complain to us about the incompetence of the previous manager we spoke to, followed by apologizing for going on a tangent. She then went to the computer, came back, and told us that she had to merge two separate accounts that had been created under our name. She reassured us that both orders should have been added to the rewards app.

A few days later, we checked the app and saw that one of the orders had still not been added to our rewards points. By now, if both orders had been registered in the app, we were supposed to receive a discount of $10 on our next order (each $1 spent translates to 1 reward point, 100 pts = $10 off)

On May 20th, we called the restaurant to resolve the issue and get the missing order added to the rewards app. We planned to order pizza that night, but we wanted the $10 discount that we should have received in the rewards app to apply to that order.

The manager (the same female manager from May 11th) was very impatient and unhelpful. She first tried to deny that one of the orders was missing, even though the rewards points that we had were clearly less than what we should have. When we explained that wasn't possible, she became increasingly short with us. She complained that they were busy and she would have to spend time on the phone with the app's company in order to resolve the problem and that she didn't want to wait on the phone.

At this point, we asked if she could give us the $10 discount for this order instead. She told us point blank that she wouldn't do that for us and she would have to find some time over the weekend to call the company.

Now it's Monday afternoon. We still don't see any change in our reward points.

At this point, we are done with her and her restaurant, due to the horrible customer service she has offered so far. We were made to feel like a nuisance for an error on the manager's part and they refused to make it right.

If this is the treatment we get after spending over $100 within the span of two visits, it clearly shows that the management does not care about their customers at all, regardless of how much money they make off of those very same customers. Yikes. I'll take my...

Decent pizza, but have a few issues with you. First of all you only honor coupons when we order online. I am not an “online” person so I keep getting screwed every time I order from you and don’t get any coupons/discounts. Just Stupid. My other problem is you people do not have any white onion is the topping. Every single pizza place I have ordered from has white onion as a topping. Not everyone likes red onion so get your act together perhaps even go next-door to Walmart and buy some white onion. Do you even care about what your customers want!? Have an additional review to write as of 11 2021. Ordered a pizza yesterday and was told that it would be 40 minutes because they were busy and. So I said OK and after one hour I called the store and asked where was my pizza and they said that the driver had been “dispatched”…. And I only live 10 minutes away from the store. After another 20 minutes went by I called again and now we were at one hour and 15 minutes and I asked the Manager what’s the problem was. He told me that he didn’t know where the driver was but he told me that if the pizza showed up and it was called I could call right away and they would rush another one out to me. Stupid. Another 10 minutes later the driver finally shows up with the pizza and of course it’s cold. So I asked her what the problem was and did she get lost?! She said no they just have way too many pizzas and things to be delivered and they don’t have enough drivers. It sounds to me like you need to get a new manager and you guys need to get your act together. One hour and 20 minutes to deliver a pizza is UN acceptable for a 10 minute drive! WONT order...

I agree with the comment that the ingredient(s) are way too sweet for my taste. Also the staff was very rude. I did an online order and somehow it ordered a different size pizza without the deal i needed so i had to redo the order and the lady that assisted me with completing the transaction when i got to the restaurant was extremely unorthodox. She even greeted me by name as soon as i got there as a first time customer, which was the first red flag. No company should ever do this, they should always give the customer the first courtesy because it makes them look very shady and untrustworthy otherwise. Then when i told her what happened as far as why there were 2 orders placed her attitude completely changed and she didn't even tell me to have a good day or anything she just made it sound like it was my fault that their website overplaced my order when in reality it is very vague during the actual order placement screen and never applies discounts right away, you actually have to hunt for the code first and then go through a normal order screen and input the code, which the website should automatically do for you when you click on the deal. So to recap:

Terrible ordering system Terrible customer service Terrible pricing (even a small sized pizza with no coupon is over $10 with toppings...) Mediocre pizza (it's not special enough for the pricing)

I would steer clear unless you have nowhere else to get pizza that is more convenient and trustworthy. Needless to say, as a first time customer, i was very dissatisfied in the service i got and will not be returning. No matter how the food tastes, the customer service is just...
