I really wanted to loved this place. Its close to home. It's an independent, small business. It hits all my marks for what I look for when trying a new place
I'll start there.
But the food was just tasteless and well nothing, really.
And slow.
My friend ordered a straight off the munu sandwich for an 11 o'clock lunch on a Friday morning.
I ordered a build your own salad.
It took a good 25 minutes to get our food out.
And then my salad was missing 3 of the added ingredients: apples, blue cheese and blueberries.
By the time I could flag down anyone to fix my salad, my friend was almost finished with her sandwich - defeating the purpose of "meeting lunch together".
I was really disappointed.
Parking was also a nightmare. When I got there, I couldn't find a place anywhere close and ended up parking by Publix.
But when I entered the Market/Restaurant, there was nobody there.
Some designated parking maybe might be. a nice idea if they could swing it.
I might still go back, I haven't decided yet. I still love the concept and the location.
I would love to chalk my whole experience up to an off day at Roxanne's.
Please give a small business a chance and let me know...
Read moreI stopped by the market on Thursday midday to order a cake for pickup on Saturday afternoon. The person I spoke with at the desk said she wasn’t sure if they could make my cake, so she wrote down my name, phone number, the type of cake I wanted and the date and time I wanted to pick it up, and said she would call me and let me know if they couldn’t do it. I hadn’t heard anything by 3pm on Friday so just to be sure, I called and asked if my cake would be ready. I was told the cake could not be made, and that they couldn’t make any dessert for me by Saturday afternoon. I have ordered the same cake from Fusco’s a couple of times in the past and never had a problem, but I’m now faced with finding a dessert somewhere else for a dinner party tomorrow. Very disappointed that I didn’t get a phone call or even a message so I could make other plans sooner. I really like this market but I won’t attempt a special...
Read moreI will start off by saying they have great lunch and take out salad options. However they frozen tray of chicken parmigiana was the worst I have ever tasted in my life, and embarrassing serving to my Italian family members. I defrosted it and cooked it according to the directions. The breading was soggy from sitting in the sauce on the bottom of the tray. It tasted like it was country fried steak breading and not Italian breadcrumbs. It was thick and had a bitter sweet taste which made the chicken taste funky. NO ONE ate it. $35.99 down the drain. We all threw it out. I decided to go this route to make my life easier having family over. As an Italian it was a disaster. All of their other food is quite tasty, but I would steer clear of the...
