This place is utterly disgusting and awful. I never leave reviews, but if I could give negative stars I would. We arrived around 6pm to a decent sized crowd, leading me to think this place would be good. The server took a while to get our drink order, no biggie. She arrived with our drinks and simply stated, “ready?”...which I replied we were still taking a look at the menu, but ordered an appetizer. No manners from the server. She didn’t come back to our table for another 20min. Finally ordered, and this is what gets me to my negative review. Our steak fajitas came out to the table within about 2min after ordering...no utensils, not lettuce/wrap/cheese setup...nothing else. It sat on our table for about 10min. We thought it was odd, but there was no one to inquire with as our server was too busy elsewhere. We picked at the steak, but still waiting for the rest of our food. Finally I signaled for the server, when she came over she immediately picked up the now cold skillet of fajitas, telling us it was a mistake and not our food. She then abruptly turns to the table behind us and sets the fajita skillet on their table telling them sorry for the wait, clearly indicating there was a mix up, then walks off. I couldn’t believe it! I got up and walked over to the family and immediately told the lady who was about to start eating “her fajitas” that her food had been on our table for at minimum 10 min. We got the server to come back and her response to that table, “There was a mixup, but this is your fajitas”. My family got up and left...not even waiting for the outcome of the other table who was very angry. F that place. That is their business practice, who knows what happens in...
Read moreThe restaurant was empty on a late Saturday afternoon, which isn’t always a great sign. However we decided to give it a try. Our waiter, whom was also the host, sat us very quickly. In fact, we got everything almost suspiciously too quickly. Their alcoholic beverages menu is lacking, especially in the margarita department. The frozen strawberry one looks premade, as if it came out of a machine and they mix alcohol into it. I ordered the chimichanga super, highly disappointed. For a Mexican restaurant they didn’t even make them correctly and they completely lacked flavor. My plate was missing the rice, but I got the beans that were so disgusting I honestly almost got sick at the table from the flavor/smell. My husband ordered a burrito and said “it was ok but I won’t come back” and for our daughter, we got her kids chicken tenders and fries, which she’d normally devour, but after a fry or 2, she said they didn’t taste right. It’s disappointing as well that they don’t offer white rice as a side option.
If you enjoy Mexican and want authentic Mexican with lots of flavor, I’d recommend searching somewhere else. Even Charranda does better, and we aren’t fans of...
Read moreAlan was our waiter on a busy Friday night and the service was outstanding!! He was so positive, professional and helpful. All the food was served hot and was tasty. This is a great family restaurant with the traditional ‘Mexican’ food we enjoy. The guacamole was very fresh and chunky, the mole is delicious, the tamales were larger than I expected and very good and of course who doesn’t love queso and chips. Everything was clean and their atmosphere was energetic- while we were there an adult group (8-10 people) was celebrating a birthday, there were folks with kids and date night couples. We even saw some friends who were visiting from out of town (they used to live in the area and Los Aztecas was what they missed when they moved).
It’s a good place to stop in for tasty comfort food, super service (THANK YOU ALAN!!!) and a family...
