What a great place this is. My lovely wife and I were coming home from shopping and were hungry so we decided to go to Socastee Station to grab a few drinks and appetizers. When we entered we were sat right away by a hostess. Our waitress, Britt, came right over and took our drink orders and she was telling us the specials when T.J. , one of the owners, came over and told us about the special of the day, all you can eat haddock for $10.95. He explained that this is usually the special every Friday, but since it was Ash Wednesday they made it the special of the today. Since being a northerner I love my haddock So my lovely wife and I decided , no appetizers, we are going to order the haddock You has a chose of how you wanted it cooked. My wife ordered hers fried and I went with the blackened. Dinner came out on a timely manner. And it was delicious. The flavor was fabulous. The fried was done perfect and not to much batter. The blackened was just enough spice. It came with âhandcutâ fried (which I say was one of the best Iâve eaten) and coleslaw. The slaw was good. Wasnât drowning in mayonnaise!! Our lovely waitress, Britt, came over and asked how our meals were and if we wanted more drinks. She asked us if we wanted any more fish. My wife and I decided to get another piece. I got mine fried this time. We also opted out of the fries and slaw. Britt was very polite and attentive. T.J. came back over and asked how everything was. And thanked us for coming in. As we sat there we observed how crowded the place was. It was full house on a Wednesday night and there were a lot of regulars, which T.J. went over to personal welcome them. If that many regulars come out on a Wednesday night it must be good food !! They have specials every night of the week. And Happy Hour from 4-7. All around I say this place is a 5 star. The waitress, Britt, was great. A+. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere was spot on A+. The food was awesome A++. Special bonus points for T.J. being a friendly hands on owner !! If your in Myrtle Beach or driving thru Socastee, do stop by. It might be your first, but wonât be your...
Read moreWe're close to Myrtle Bch State prk, & wanted fish for dinner. Being relatively new to the area, we Googled & found Socastee Station. They were well rated and offering an 'All you could Eat' fish dinner on Fri (and YEAH! it was Fri). Called-fish offered- haddock. Walked in, had to wait~30+ min (recommend reservations). There's a bar that covers approx 1/2 of the total area; appears to be no smoking inside, staff & the clientele here are quite personable. Dining area about 1/2 size of Applebee's. Ambience: Pub-like/rustic. The place itself is OK, but the food is GREAT! Our waiter, Maclain (sorry if it's misspelled) was great! He was very personable and patiently answered all of our questions. He also came and checked on us multiple times. My fiancé had fish, I went for fettuccine w/chckn. Both our dinners were delicious & generous in their portions. Besides the orig 2 big fish filets he started with, he had 2 more servings. All were nice thick pieces of fish with a lite, crispy batter. My fettuccine was very tasty and the chicken was tender. It was too much for me to finish and ended up taking the rest home. For beverages, we both had soda with refills. Also tried an appetizer- BogBalls- they were good. Couldn't believe the bill
Read moreI'm not sure what kind of dark magic is going on in this restaurant, but I want nothing more than to partake in it over and over on repeat. By far the best restaurant experience of my life. The price is unbeatable, but so are the portions and the taste. So many homemade foods that make me wanting more. I love you Socastee Station, a world without you is enough to know that I've crossed over into the underworld. I hope to be buried with your bog balls. Your delicious, crispy balls, that once you start to pop you just can't stop. Your devious restaurant has ruined every other restaurant experience I can expect to see in the future since they won't live up to the solace that you've created in my life. Don't get me started on the staff. By far the best waiter I can remember in my long inquiry I call life. Dude was nonstop back and forth with anything our little hearts desired. I could really go on forever about my time here, and for those of you who are still here with me reading, just go there already, why are you still sitting around? You haven't lived until you've read that arial font menu and turned yourself into a gluttonous pile, that lusts for a meal at Socastee...
