What a great place this is. My lovely wife and I were coming home from shopping and were hungry so we decided to go to Socastee Station to grab a few drinks and appetizers. When we entered we were sat right away by a hostess. Our waitress, Britt, came right over and took our drink orders and she was telling us the specials when T.J. , one of the owners, came over and told us about the special of the day, all you can eat haddock for $10.95. He explained that this is usually the special every Friday, but since it was Ash Wednesday they made it the special of the today. Since being a northerner I love my haddock So my lovely wife and I decided , no appetizers, we are going to order the haddock You has a chose of how you wanted it cooked. My wife ordered hers fried and I went with the blackened. Dinner came out on a timely manner. And it was delicious. The flavor was fabulous. The fried was done perfect and not to much batter. The blackened was just enough spice. It came with “handcut” fried (which I say was one of the best I’ve eaten) and coleslaw. The slaw was good. Wasn’t drowning in mayonnaise!! Our lovely waitress, Britt, came over and asked how our meals were and if we wanted more drinks. She asked us if we wanted any more fish. My wife and I decided to get another piece. I got mine fried this time. We also opted out of the fries and slaw. Britt was very polite and attentive. T.J. came back over and asked how everything was. And thanked us for coming in. As we sat there we observed how crowded the place was. It was full house on a Wednesday night and there were a lot of regulars, which T.J. went over to personal welcome them. If that many regulars come out on a Wednesday night it must be good food !! They have specials every night of the week. And Happy Hour from 4-7. All around I say this place is a 5 star. The waitress, Britt, was great. A+. The restaurant was clean and atmosphere was spot on A+. The food was awesome A++. Special bonus points for T.J. being a friendly hands on owner !! If your in Myrtle Beach or driving thru Socastee, do stop by. It might be your first, but won’t be your...

We're close to Myrtle Bch State prk, & wanted fish for dinner. Being relatively new to the area, we Googled & found Socastee Station. They were well rated and offering an 'All you could Eat' fish dinner on Fri (and YEAH! it was Fri). Called-fish offered- haddock. Walked in, had to wait~30+ min (recommend reservations). There's a bar that covers approx 1/2 of the total area; appears to be no smoking inside, staff & the clientele here are quite personable. Dining area about 1/2 size of Applebee's. Ambience: Pub-like/rustic. The place itself is OK, but the food is GREAT! Our waiter, Maclain (sorry if it's misspelled) was great! He was very personable and patiently answered all of our questions. He also came and checked on us multiple times. My fiancé had fish, I went for fettuccine w/chckn. Both our dinners were delicious & generous in their portions. Besides the orig 2 big fish filets he started with, he had 2 more servings. All were nice thick pieces of fish with a lite, crispy batter. My fettuccine was very tasty and the chicken was tender. It was too much for me to finish and ended up taking the rest home. For beverages, we both had soda with refills. Also tried an appetizer- BogBalls- they were good. Couldn't believe the bill

I'm not sure what kind of dark magic is going on in this restaurant, but I want nothing more than to partake in it over and over on repeat. By far the best restaurant experience of my life. The price is unbeatable, but so are the portions and the taste. So many homemade foods that make me wanting more. I love you Socastee Station, a world without you is enough to know that I've crossed over into the underworld. I hope to be buried with your bog balls. Your delicious, crispy balls, that once you start to pop you just can't stop. Your devious restaurant has ruined every other restaurant experience I can expect to see in the future since they won't live up to the solace that you've created in my life. Don't get me started on the staff. By far the best waiter I can remember in my long inquiry I call life. Dude was nonstop back and forth with anything our little hearts desired. I could really go on forever about my time here, and for those of you who are still here with me reading, just go there already, why are you still sitting around? You haven't lived until you've read that arial font menu and turned yourself into a gluttonous pile, that lusts for a meal at Socastee...

A welcome surprise!! Initially, the plan was to eat at a pizza/ cheese steak place in the same square that ended up being closed until the following week. This place was a few feet away in the same square with similar ratings. At first glance, my first impression is, "This is a bar." The atmosphere is unimpressive, like most bars but the menu was another story. A little bit of everything on the menu from soups, salads, sandwiches, to entrees such as pot roast, ribeye and seared scallops. Had the seared scallops and ribeye, both were cooked perfectly. Ribeye was better than those commercial steakhouses and grilled to perfection. Scallops were plated beautifully and the lemon risotto and grilled asparagus paired perfectly well with scallops. The only disappointment to the meal was the wimpy salad that came with both entrees. It was a generic garden blend with a couple slices of red onion some croutons and bacon pieces. It was pitiful in appearance and quality compared to the entrees. My suggestion: skip the salad, pay the extra for the risotto and asparagus if it doesn't come with your meal. It's definitely worth it

This is an excellent restaurant. The people are very friendly and helpful. The waitress and the manager both came by to make sure everything was good. The food is outstanding and you will not leave the table hungry. Generous portions that are carefully prepared The fried seafood is actually lightly battered to allow you to enjoy the food and not overcooked or hidden behind heavy batter. The restaurant is in a strip mall which may cause you to think twice but if you pass up this place you are missing out on a great local restaurant with great service, food, and pleasant atmosphere. If you are ANYWHERE near here this is a must place to eat Highly recommend. And check out the daily specials which include all you can eat fish that comes fried, blackened or grilled! Not sure how you can find a better deal. The price is great and the food is impeccable. This place truly deserves 5 stars. The picture is a shrimp dinner. The shrimp are huge, plentiful and actually lightly battered to let you taste the shrimp. Awesome

I have come here a few times as a local, and have enjoyed it every time. The atmosphere is comfortable and familiar, and the people who work here are so welcoming and friendly. The Happy Hour specials are amazing! We expected the portions to be smaller, but they seemed to be full size, which we were very happy about! Logan was our server, and he was prompt and patient. For appetizers, we got the string cheese and the fried cauliflower. They tasted amazing. The breading on both of these items was just right. I got the meatball sliders and my boyfriend got a salad. The meatball sliders were a little difficult to eat, because the meatballs were so big! I ended up cutting them in half, and enjoyed some of the meatballs by themselves. They were excellent! Their fries were also really good. I cannot speak for the whole salad, but I did try a piece of chicken and it was wonderful. I really enjoy this place!
