I took my grandchildren to the Sonic @ 8821 Farrow Road. I will never use that location again. First I parked in a space to order food and a gentleman came over and asked if I could go through the drive thru because they were doing shift change so I went through the drive thru. I ordered a small cheese stick, 3 Blue Raspberry Slushies with Cotton candy Boba (my granddaughter said it tasted like hand sanitizer) 3 pretzel sticks and a Chicken sandwich meal on Texas Toast with tater tots. First the young lady kept asking questions about what I was ordering like she couldn't hear me. I had to repeat myself several times so I felt sure she had received my order correctly. I pulled around and the music was so loud no wonder she couldn't hear me when i was placing the order. I get the Boba slushies, my husband's coke, pay and am asked to pull around by the back doors where I sit and wait patiently. Time is going by and I don't think anything because I know the chicken sandwich needs to be cooked properly. I see 2 male employees going to their car to chat and see another one that brings 2 large bags of food and 2 large drinks out for another car but not thinking it's a customer because he gave the food to the person in the backseat on each side. I'm thinking this might be a friend bc who would give people their food in the back. I finally get my chicken sandwich meal, cheese sticks and NO pretzels at all! The girl that brought the food said she didn't hear that nor did she charge me but I told her I ordered 3 orders and repeated myself several times. Now I'm in a rush bc I have to get back to my job working remotely and I had already been gone to run to probate court because my brother recently passed away. Now I have to wait for these to be cooked only for her to bring out 2 orders when I clearly said 3. I went to the backdoor and asked for another order and didn't have a problem paying for them which I did. Needless to say it took over 30 mins of all this and I was beyond frustrated, irritated or just plain mad because I saw no leadership in that restaurant or the workers didn't really care. I feel like there should've been a manager or lead of some sort running the shift and I didn't get that impression that there was one there. It was like the employees could do what they wanted. Read moreThis is my go to Sonic since they closed the on on Decker years back the service throughout the years has been excellent. Lately though they have taken a mammoth plunge in not only service but quality of food as well. The past 4 times i have been there have been a consistently increasing disappointment. This time however was the final straw. The past three time’s I have been i have had rude service downed systems and seemingly arbitrary cut offs in service. Last time before this i arrived to the drive through and were told that they could not take my order through the drive through speaker because it was down. After waiting twenty five minutes in the line i finally get to the window to place my order I’m told they are no longer serving food and that the customer in front of me was the last food order. No one was behind me i was the last person in line when i asked why they stopped and couldnt tell me they were no longer taking orders at an 24hr location at 1am on a saturday night after having me wait half a hour in line. They offered no explanation and i received nothing but wasted time and gas. This last time however i went there and ordered a large popcorn chicken with large tots…what i got instead was a bag of disappointment. My food was room temperature and my popcorn chicken was hard and inedible. It was very obviously old and you could tell it was old simply by the touch it crumbled in my hand. Read moreI am a huge fan of sonic. Where I live the closest one is approximately two hours away, so when I travel I love to stop by when possible. Now let’s set the scene I just finished a vacation in Aruba on my way home with a connecting flight in Charlotte, well a thunderstorm caused us to fly here to Columbia instead and spend the night so I wasn’t in the best mood but I wasn’t to upset because of a good vacation. After figuring out a hotel to stay out, checking in etc. we wanted to grab something to eat before bed so we chose to get Sonic delivered to the hotel. We ordered one cheeseburger with lettuce tomato onion just everything that originally comes on it, one supersonic bacon double cheeseburger with no lettuce, tomato or mayo , one medium Diet Coke, one medium blue raspberry slushy with nerds, and two medium tater tots. When the food arrived roughly 45 minutes later I went down stairs retrieved it and brought it back to my room. Starting with the drinks I saw I didn’t have a slushy (sad but not a huge deal) but instead two medium cokes, not diet just regular which honestly isn’t a big deal to me. But then we get to our food the cheeseburger was fine but the double bacon cheeseburger had lettuce tomato onion mayo, everything we said to not have on there. Now since it was delivered we weren’t going to get the food/drinks we ordered fixed and pay for delivery again so we just ate it anyways but things such as incorrect food and drinks at a time that you couldn’t possibly be very busy (10:00pm.) add up very quickly especially when you’re already staying in a state that you were only supposed...
