Just built a beautiful house in Nexton Midtown and was so excited about Nexton Square, but I have to express my disappointment after a 9 hour drive and looking forward to sitting down and having some wings, a burger, and a few cold ones.
As an avid fan of sports bars and their culinary offerings, I recently visited the Sportsbook Bar with high expectations. However, my experience left much to be desired.
Upon ordering, I opted for the wings appetizer along with a burger. To my dismay, both dishes arrived simultaneously, detracting from the enjoyment of my meal. The miscommunication regarding the timing of the dishes was disappointing and disrupted the dining experience.
Even more disappointing was the handling of the situation when I raised my concerns. The staff promised to rectify the situation by bringing back a fresh burger with an apology, only to return it in a worse state than before. The burger was not only dry but also cold, same burger as if no effort was made to correct the initial mistake. This lack of care and attention to customer satisfaction was truly disheartening. Not that it matters, but they could’ve taken something off the bill, but they did not even offer anything not even a free beer or something.
Overall, my visit to the Sportsbook Bar was marred by poor communication, lackluster service, and subpar food quality. As a patron who values a positive dining experience, I hope that the establishment takes this feedback seriously and strives to improve in the future. Until then, I cannot recommend the Sportsbook Bar to fellow diners seeking a satisfying...
Read moreOver the last few days I’ve tried several times to reach management about a pickup order we’d placed. My husband drove 45min round trip to get food and what they sent him home with was absolutely not the same quality as I’ve had while eating there in person. I asked him if they were busy and he said there were very few other people there. I ordered traditional wings and an order of their Brussel sprouts. The sprouts were soggy, tasteless and didn’t include their signature bacon jam. They also only came with the amount pictured. I didn’t not eat but one bite. They had hard stems still connected and grease was everywhere. I asked the woman who answered the phone if they normally make them two different ways and she said no, and that mine sounded completely different than what she’s ever seen. She let me know a manager would be reaching out either that night or the following day with a resolution/response. Nothing ever came of it. Of course I’ve tried calling several times with no answer. The wings were seasoned well, but I noticed black stuff in there and a funny taste. I thought maybe the oil was old. It was extremely old because the black stuff was old burnt French fries mixed in with my wings. The ranch sauce tastes like runny water and wouldn’t even stick to my food. The woman on the phone was lovely and understanding, but ultimately you can’t trust the service here and you better check your food quality before leaving if picking up a...
Read moreIt comes with a heavy heart writing this. This used to be THE SPOT. You could meet your friends, associates, have a date or just enjoy a solo drink. The owner, Travis, has completely neglected and forgotten about this place. They can’t keep staff because of the lack of leadership and constantly changing rules. They have mediocre food because they run any decent chef off when someone wants positive change. Same with bar managers. I’ve been there when there the draft beer was unavailable, certain bottle beers were unstocked, or they didn’t have the popular liquors. It’s sad that such a great location and pillar of Summerville is going down. BIAS I used to work here, I came here before and after I worked here. Food and bev lived here. This was THE SPOT. I rode by last Friday night and there was 1 person at the bar. The results and lack of business lets you know all you should pay attention to. The people that work here are amazing and grade A but the management is lackluster. Ultimately the owner, Travis, should just sell the business and let someone with a passion to help Nexton sportsbar thrive so he can make a few bucks and the new owner can help our community. We are tired of a lazy guy taking up space where we could all enjoy. He is next to halls, baked and ever creamery plus every other biz that works hard to make ends meet. He is a bum and it...
