Today was my last straw at this Starbucks location. If my experiences at the Perham Rd Starbucks were my first or only, I would certainly never patronize Starbucks again. I live in Easley where we have 2 Starbucks locations. Both stores are clean and their staff is warm and courteous. At both Easley locations, I am greeted when I enter. My name and order are remembered. The atmosphere at BOTH of the Easley locations are reminiscent of "Cheers" or "Friends" and I look forward to going. I gifted the staff JFK silver dollars for Christmas. I work on Pelham Rd and every single time, I come in the door I am not greeted; barely even acknowledged. The only bright side is a young, Black woman who greets and speaks to me. I am also a Black woman. I am not sure if that has any bearings on my treatment as I don't observe the staff being particularly personable or friendly with any of the other patrons either. The store feels dark and abysmal. The staff are more like coffee-making barista robots. However, even with that dedication to rote production and no customer interaction, I still experience longer than projected wait time. I stood in line for about 10 minutes this morning waiting for my coffee. My food order was already made; sitting and cooling while I waited for my coffee. At a certain point, surely just tired of me lurking at the counter, an employee breathed in frustration, "what are you waiting for?" I told them I had a coffee with my breakfast sandwich and attempted to show her my app, but she walked off asking, "What's the name?" I uttered my name to her back and she begins looking for the order on a tablet. Another barista said that the ticket didn't print out for some reason, but she would make it. No apology. No sorry for your wait. Just agitated and begrudgingly made coffee. The cup was sat on the counter in front of me by an employee who made no eye contact. I truly would rather scrape gum from under middle school desks or pick up trash from the side of the road than visit the Pelham Rd & I-85 Hwy Starbucks store location again. I hope people read this review and avoid this location. It is truly not representative of the quality or customer service experiences that I have become accustomed to receiving at Starbucks. I am not sure what factors go into the lack of morale at this location. I am not sure if the working conditions are oppressive, but the melancholy is palbable. I will not be returning to this location until the lack of customer focus and long wait times are rectified. I have ordered at this location at least 7 times, and each visit has been exactly the same. Today was my last patronage and I think, myself, the others who left one and two star reviews, along with people who read this review should collectively avoid ordering at this location when there are others nearby. I think we need to send a message to the management that in these uncertain and unfavorable economic times, we will not pay for poor and inconsistent service. The product is not that serious. I can get K-cups, heavy cream and caramel drizzle from the grocery store. I can make this coffee at home. If the service will not be impeccable, what is the point of leaving my home and driving to a store? I expect and demand better, especially from a location in this affluent area....
Read moreI appreciate the interior decor. Looking like a West Elm magazine. I also appreciate the clean bathroom. I was passing through this location, taking a break from my 5 hr drive. Jose was my barista, and he was at the register. Shoutout to Jose! buena onda my drink was excellent. I was skeptical about the potential wait since the person ahead of me was taking her time ordering several drinks. I am familiar with throwback sbux days where a 2nd barista would prepare cups, taking the next person's drink order in line while the 1st person is being helped. Then, the barista at the register would ring up the cups and confirm orders as they come up. Either they have a 1 customer undivided attention method, or I was simply overlooked. There were about 5 teammates behind the counter with nobody in the drive-thru. Meanwhile, am I stuck waiting on someone to make up their mind when I could at least be acknowledged? Weird. In spite of my observations, the team made the customer's drinks ahead of mine, AND...
Read moreMy first time going there I ordered a cold brew with ice in a venti cup, I took 2 sips of it and it was gone there was so much ice and made the drink watered down and there was not enough sweet cream when I asked for extra I couldn’t go back because I had to go to work I came to address the issue and asked for a remake and they said that it was not their fault and that I was going to be charged for another drink. This was not a Good experience I don’t mind paying for a drink made correctly I love Starbucks and I am never coming back to this location now I have to come to another Starbucks. This has never happened to me before, horrible first experience, I will not come here again, and I don’t recommend anyone coming here. I understand if I did this often but this is my first time here so yea I used to work at Starbucks this is not how I was trained to treat customers, the supervisor on duty didn’t even care to understand why I wanted the remake she just said the too much ice is...
