A month ago, I left a glowing review after my sister and I first visited this bakery while in Greenville before relocating. We had such a great experience from the friendly service to the delicious cupcakes, cookies, and other treats. We enjoyed it so much that we recommended it to our parents and became repeat customers ourselves. Being a military family, it was also special to be honored with a generous discount and fresh baked goods. Unfortunately, with each visit, the quality of both service and products has gone downhill. The military discount that started as 50% off slowly shifted to āIāll give you one free cookie,ā and now changes with every visit. The once ādeliciousā baked goods have become inconsistent and disappointing. Yesterday, for my momās milestone birthday, we gave it another try, but this time it was worth a review for the wrong reasons. The cupcakes tasted freezer-burnt and old, the red velvet was dry and unpleasant, and overall, the quality was unacceptable. To make it worse, the military discount was once again inconsistent ā this time just 10% off one cupcake. Itās very disappointing to see such a decline in both service and standards. This bakery had so much potential, but the inconsistency makes it hard to recommend anymore. Especially after this is not the first time we had problems and still went back time and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son and I got this idea of having a cupcake into our heads this morning, So I looked around at the options near us and stumbled upon this place. I am lactose intolerant and have digestive issues with eggs, so I was pleasantly surprised to see they had vegan options. I was ready to suffer today for a cupcake, but thankfully I didn't had to.
I wanted a vanilla on vanilla, but they only had a chocolate on vanilla left in the vegan options. However, I am so, so glad I got it because it was amazing. It was like eating a chocolate chip cookie in cupcake form. My (very picky) teenaged son also loved his classic vanilla on vanilla. I plan on taking my husband here when he gets back from his work trip. I know he will love it.
I also want to add that I kind of half expected this place to feel kind of bougie and maybe like I didn't belong there. Snobby, you know? But I was happy to find that wasn't the case at all. It was a beautiful little shop with a very friendly young lady with fun, colorful hair and a nose ring. The atmosphere was very laid back and eclectic in a lovely way. This was my kind of place for sure.
It was such a great experience overall that I just had to come leave this review....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter-in-law asked for a heart cake for her birthday. When I found this bakery and saw the cake online, I was so excited. Called to order the cake and they told me that the 6 inch hard cake would feed 8 to 10 people. Donāt get me wrong, the cake was beautiful and delicious But it was very very small! There is no way this cake feeds 8 to 10 people. There was only five of us, and we ate a very small sliver of the cake. There is not much left at all. Called the next morning and asked if we paid for the large cake and got the small by accident, and I was told absolutely not that I got the right size cake. Pretty upsetting that I paid $65 for a cake so tiny. They offered to send me a $25 gift certificate for the bakery. I live over an hour away from this bakery And why would I order another cake from there when what they tell you is not true? $65 for a cake that I barely got to taste? And I donāt care to pay that for a K but at least let me get two slices out...
