Starbucks — Restaurant in South Carolina

You guys are killing it at this store! I love how energetic and how much fun you all appear to have. My family and I were visiting this past weekend and you have a "Mad Libs" poster up which allows the patrons to participate in the fun. To the Barista who loves Mary J. Blige, you have a beautiful personality. My husband and I visited the store at least once a day while we were in town and each and every team member went above and beyond to be kind ensure that we received the highest of customer service. Thank YOU! My dad had a special request on Sunday and purchased a drink for me to pick up when we checked out (a couple hours later) and when I arrived you all had a note and prepared my drink for me. I came in around 9:50 am today and ordered a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso. I made sure I paid for my drink and I even tipped 20% which was around $1.50 for my order. I always make sure to tip bc it’s just a nice thing to do. However, as I was leaving, one of the employees felt it wasn’t enough and said loud enough for me to hear “I did all that work for $1.50 tip, are you kidding me?” I was the only one in there at the time. I didn’t address the person at the time because I was just shocked that they even said that. Does Starbucks not pay their employees enough that they have to insult customers to get money? Is a 20% tip not enough anymore? The drink was delicious and the service was fast, but why am I tipping if even the norm isn’t...

Line for drive thru was wrapped around the building around 3 in the afternoon, they got through it quickly and my order was correct. I was extremely impressed with their speed and politeness, the only reason I am giving them 4 out of 5 stars is because two of the drinks I ordered tasted different (slightly better) from my usual location. Since Starbucks is a chain there drinks should taste the same at every location but I think some baristas have heavier pours with flavors/creamers than others.
