First let me be clear that the 1-star service rating is specifically referencing the hostess, Susan, as first impressions are lasting impressions. However, our waitress Lori was awesome.
We visited this location while on a short family trip and decided from reviews online that it would make a good breakfast stop. We checked in at the hostess stand with a 10-15 minute wait. After about 10 minutes our party’s name was called, but with an added last name initial. My father checked with the one hostess who then escorted us to the dinning floor. As we were walking to a table and other hostess, Susan, loudly and rudely said “I don’t know where does this party of 5 think they are going, it’s only a two top table”. She then got our hostess corrected and we went back to the lobby. I would have thought that when we all went to the hostess stand and my father checked back in that the other hostess would have corrected us. No worries, honest mistake as it turns out different parties had the same first name. Susan continued her babbling though and that is what set the tone for this review.
I told Susan that there no need to be rude, and that her loud smart mouth was not appropriate or professional. I added that it may be best to next time announce the name with number in the party to help confusion. She accepted no ownership for being rude, and continued that her adding an “L” to party name should have indicated it wasn’t for us. I acknowledged that we were the wrong party, but she did not want to acknowledge her outbursts were unacceptable.
Short of Susan, food was great, our waitress, Lori was fantastic, and it allowed for a good breakfast stop, but we won’t be back and will find another place to find for breakfast. Thank goodness Susan wasn’t...

The portion sizes were generous, and the food was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell that a lot of care went into preparing each dish. The attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients truly set Eggs Up Grill apart.

Read moreI wish we had come here sooner because this is easily the best breakfast I've had in a very long time and I'm sad that this is our last morning in the area. I would have loved another chance to try even more of the delicious menu options. We got the cafe mocha which was large, so so so good, and tasted like a decadent coffee hot cocoa with a cute whipped cream topping. For food, we got the homestead platter, the crab cake Benedict, and a blueberry muffin. After yesterday's breakfast at the Applewood, I was really hesitant to get another crab cake Benedict but this place is everything the Applewood wishes it could be. The homestead platter had delicious biscuits and gravy (I even liked it and I usually hate sausage gravy), sausage, and crispy, smoky bacon. The crab cake Benedict was flavorful with a perfectly poached egg, deliciously rich hollandaise, soft and slightly crisped crab cake that wasn't too fishy, all on a crisp garlic bread base that complemented everything nicely. The accompanying fruit cup was very fresh with flavorful fruit and a splash of orange juice, which was a nice accent. The blueberry muffin was perfectly sweet and delicious with toasted edges and a soft, crumbly middle. To make our visit even better, our server was very kind and friendly despite being very busy and having to deal with the table of Karens next to us that said quite rude things to and about her. I would've lost it on them but she stayed so friendly and unbothered it was impressive. We ate outside on the patio and it was beautiful,...
