I went to my hometown of James Island, SC and stopped into a bar for a drink and was blown away by the(lack of) service received my 22 minutes as a guest in this place of business. On my way in, I was (attempted) to be carded by someone that did not work at the establishment while the employed security did not address this person. Soon after, I sat at the bar that had 14 guests, including myself (I had time to count), for 13-19 minutes and was never acknowledged or offered a beverage (or anything for that matter). I made eye contact with two separate bartenders and was never even spoken to. If I were the owner of this establishment, I would be seeking alternate employees, as the current bartenders are not interested in serving the customers SITTING AT THE BAR. There were four bartenders with 14 guests, and I was NEVER acknowledged as a paying customer. As a bar/lounge owner and former bartender in a larger city, I was/am appalled; And honestly, whoever owns or runs this establishment, should be too. I never write reviews but tonight, it was a must. Wow. To whomever owns The Break on Folly Road, you would have a much larger ROI if you had the right people on your team. These people do not care about the success of your business. When does a bartender pour chaser(red Bull) and liquor at the same time and get mad when I simply said it’s to much Red Bull. I asked for her manger Kayla (the one in the black shirt) Alley then says to her I hate those people. Her manager laughed and she said oh she wants you. She finally came her excuse was we are about to close and we hate all customers at that time and walks off. Meanwhile I have horrible drinks and horrible customer service on my very first experience at this bar never again and I will post on all platforms. Read morewe had a great time up until the guy who owns all the pin ball machines, couldn’t handle someone else rooting for an opposing team. we paid to play in the pin ball tournament, was there for 2+ hours and still was told to leave after we rooted for the Astros. they were thoroughly about to gain TWO new regulars up until my friend was being yelled at to leave because he wasn’t going for the same team as the man who owned the machines. he was nothing but rude and nasty as soon as the game started. don’t waste your money or time there. it was very disappointing after having a great time for the first 2 hours. made plenty of friends and met so many new people. so sad to have to leave for no reason. we were also NOTHING but respectful when he started yelling at us. all we did is say okay and walk out. i’m a charleston regular and i will...
