Shopped at aldi since they opened now go to Folly store. Have been feeling its not worth saving a few pennies going there because: they are out of stock much of the time - they don't have what I want - the produce is always questionable and even though I check it too much gets tossed - much of the food they carry has junk ingredients [eg they don't have one cereal except oatmeal which is not loaded with sugar] - they get some good stuff and then its gone forever. Yesterday [7/7/] I went in to shop and brought a receipt from last week with a double charge highlighted. Asked nicely of the young girl with long red hair to please refund one. In a breath she called me a liar and a thief and refused to refund. I reacted quickly and strongly and told her the double charge was a mistake as I had said. She huffed off to the manager and ultimately refunded. She is the rudest most sour faced girl ever and has no business in a position requiring public contact. All the food has a weird tainted flavor. This place is no more than a reskinned dollar store. I guess for families who have tight budgets its an Okay alternative to say Walmart, or Dollar General...but my gosh its shocking how low quality the food is. And i swear, it all has a weird taste. They either use weird preservatives, or the food just all tastes that bizzare. The bananas are the moat alarming. They NEVER CHANGE COLOR, yet they go bad inside the peel. The banana on our desk at work, is still yellow and weve had it for nearly 4 weeks. But the inside of it is rotten. I dont trust this...

I’ve tried a few times and always find it surprisingly messy, low/empty stock in lots of aisles, and the food just doesn’t appeal to me at all. I left empty handed each time. And, I just think the quarter thing is just silly. Who carries quarters anymore. I’d rather pay a bit more at organized, well-stocked stores like Publix, HT, Trader Joe’s, and have the certainty that I can get trusted products...
