On August 27th, 2020 when I first arrived I was taken almost all the way to the back as far as you can get from the food until I told the hostess I was handicapped and would like to be placed closer to the buffet. I was accommodated and placed closer. I was a little bit disappointed that the the breading on the Calabash Style food was not as crispy as I have had in other restaurants. It seemed a little steamed. The vegetables were a little more cooked than I prefer. I did not like the attitude of the young man giving the crab legs because I asked him where the butter was and he just kind of rolled his head and looked to his left and kind of pointed is head that way. It would have been nicer if he had been polite and stated it is a short ways to my left or wherever. They give you rather small plates that don't hold a lot at one time so you have to go back more frequently but I'm sure that is to cut down on waste. The crab legs were done perfectly, they were nice and hot and they tried to place two clusters on my plate but I asked for 3 and I think that's what ticked off the server. Apparently my waiter had no other customers to wait on because he must have asked me 15 times if there was anything he could do for me or if there was anything I needed to the point that it got on my nerves and I finally just told him to please bring me a napkin when I already had five on the table just to give him something to do. I did not require my drink to be refilled so the only thing he actually did was bring me the napkins, clear the table, take away the crab leg shells and bring me my check and for that the check suggested a very large gratuity which I compensated him well for the very little bit he did but he was very pleasant an attentive. I did bring with me an old coupon from a previous visit in MB a few years ago and they did honor it as it had no expiration date. All in all for my first visit I thought it went very well and I would return again and I would suggest others try it also. I have heard that it gets quite busy around 5 or 6 p.m. so if I were you I would suggest eating early and taking advantage of the coupons if you don't want to stand in line for everything. By the way the place was very clean and the serving areas were kept very clean and the staff we're all Pleasant except for the crab leg server. I'm not sure of the price for children but I wouldn't bring kids myself. I splurge on this all you can eat crab legs once a year and this year I believe it was $39. I think at Preston's last year it was $34 but they aren't doing the buffet this year. I believe if you are in a walker or a wheelchair you might find the ramps steep but there are wheelchair accessibility parking. Masks are required when not eating and at the buffet, and you must wear plastic gloves...

Read moreLet me start this by saying. I am never the one to make a review or make a deal out of it to anyone. I usually just let it go. BUT this lady deserves to be reviewed. RUDEST LADY EVER. LONG READ
This was probably the worst experience ever. If it tells you anything we didn't even get a chance to sit and eat. I don't know if It was the manager or boss or whatever. She was a blonde headed white lady and she was the RUDEST person I have EVER encountered. This was today, March 23,2024 at 3:50pm. Me and my family come here ever year to join our aunt for her birthday. She loves this place. We have NEVER EVER had a problem until today. We enter the restaurant and were asked how many. We let her know that there was people here waiting for us as we usually do. She immediately starts talking to us like we were nothing. Telling us that we cant sit with our family and she doesn't know what to tell us, AFTER we drove an hour to eat at her facility. I get if you have policies, but you could have handled that a better way and tried to help us figure it out instead of treating us the way you were. She did not even offer at first to help seat us at least near our aunt, she immediately snapped her neck and eyes and was fussing. THEN after a few minutes decided to say she could seat us but not in the same room or vicinity as her. EVEN though there was open tables by her. Our cousin came around the corner that was already there and tried explaining to her we do this every year and were with him and she was disgusting towards him. If there was a definition of a person for a racist Karen, it would be her. Yes I am saying shes racist because she wasn't talking to anyone else coming in the way she was to us. She had a smile on her face for everyone else. We were all in disbelief that somebody who is running a restaurant could have no customer service or compassion. She was NOT busy yet, they just opened, WHY was she so aggressive. If you hate your job, QUIT. I will be contacting cooperate and...
