Would give 0 stars if possible. Just wasted 25 minutes of my life here to walk in and sit at a dirty table for 3 minutes until a server came to wipe it, took our drink and food order, then walked away. At this point 3 other groups came in and sat down. Two of those tables had their drinks and one had their drinks and food before WE GOT OUR DRINKS! I can be patient, but she was pressing my buttons from the get go. Sometime after she finally delivered our simple 2 waters with lemon, she picked up trash bags from the trash cans in the cook and prep area, tied the bags tight, and walked them into the back only going out of my sight for less than a second. She then stood talking to the males in the first booth for a few minutes. When she walked away and walked past the line, she stopped and picked up our plates and walked toward us, my stomach was in my throat. She went to set our plates down, I said "No, we don't want that food that you are touching and carrying with your hands that you did not wash after taking the trash to the back!". She verbatim said "I'm sorry, we will remake it for you." She walked off and started talking to another server. We got up to walked out and as I passed by her I said "you may not realize it, but you can transfer bacteria from the trash to people and get them very sick". She then changed her story after talking to other server and said "I did wash my hands in the back", with a four year old's attitude. Disgusting. I will never be back to this one. I don't eat WH often, but the #6 location is where I will always go bc they are nice, customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Waffle House and always have. The food is (usually) great. However recently I placed an online order for two all star specials with two drinks and it was $40. That didnāt make any sense to me because Iāve always remembered WH being cheap. I get to the restaurant to pick up the order about 25 mins later (they didnāt even start on it yet btw) and I see signs on the menu and other places stating thereās now a 20% charge for all to go orders. 10% to the preparer (cook I am assuming) and 10% to the server. So essentially gratuity. Now Iām in the service industry myself and have been for 9 years. I will always tip unless I receive the absolute worst service in the world. So I have nothing against the idea of a service charge. Because yes, they are taking time to make the order, bag it up, make sure itās all correct. However forcing a 20% gratuity on a to go order just seems insane to me. I have never expected a 20% tip when someone orders to go food from me. I could understand 10% at most. But $40 for two meals at WAFFLE HOUSE that Iām taking home and eating is insane. Not to mention, it makes it difficult to be able to ātipā as youāre supposed to when theyāre already adding that 20%. Itās just very frustrating and I wonāt be eating Waffle House as much anymore because of it. Itās not affordable like it used to be. I understand this has nothing to do with the employees, they canāt control pricing and corporateās doing (which Iām assuming is what this is) so please donāt think Iām mad at the staff. I just donāt think...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCome here a lot. Never tired of the food. Basic nutrition. Don't forget to "scattered, smothered, covered, diced, chunked, and/or peppered," top that with gravy or some chili š More nutrition, more yummy, Ask an employee if its alright to bring some of your own sauce.š I got lucky and have a dollar store next to my Waffle House, so I bought some medium picante sauce and used it on my hash browns. Made all the difference in the world. Cooks make "to order." They are also management. Many of the female servers know me by name and know what I like on my hash browns. Its taken about 6 months to a year to establish myself as a regular. My favorite shifts that are a "tie," is second shift first, then first, but no offense, both are quality and good service. Store is clean at all the slower times. Bathroom checks are a standard. Professional at taking orders over the phone, and good service for takeout orders. "Hope" and the first shift cooks are excellent. "Jason" is a good cook, ive gotten to know some of the third shift and have had some pretty good experiences. Can't forget my second shift fam: thanks Taylor, Elizabeth, Farrah. Just about anyone who works with them will be brought up to a higher standard. And "hello" to anyone else that I haven't mentioned....
