Waffle House — Restaurant in South Carolina

Incredibly slow service just to be given partially incorrect food. We ordered 2 eggs scrambled with cheese plates with toast, hashbrowns, and sausage, the hashbrowns were supposed to both be covered and chunked, and 1 smothered, but were served plain, left on the board in prep/kitchen area while server took several minutes to go find the grill operator, apparently out back. The eggs and toast were not given back to us until the hashbrowns were "corrected," however, the cheese was still cold and not at all melted when the now mostly cold food was given back to us. We ate our sausage and waffle, which had been delivered first, while waiting for the rest of the food, bc at least those items were hot and in front of us. We ate some of the now not at all hot food and asked for boxes. Will definitely drive the extra couple of minutes to the much better Stone Avenue location...

The waffle house needs to pay their employees and not charge the customer two 10% to go fees which equals 20% to pick up their own order. I was told 10% for the to go fee and 10% for the cook. I was charged $6.30 to pick up my own order. NEVER AGAIN!!!! On top of that they raised their prices. I understand raising your prices. However the 20% to go fee is ridiculous. TO PICK UP MY OWN ORDER??? How do you expect to stay in business when you're OVER CHARGING your customers. You need to be ashamed of yourself! Went it to place a To Go order and was told it would be a bit before I could place an order so I sat and waited to be called up. About 20 minutes had passed and during that time I seen the gentlemen at the counter call people up the counter to place there orders even though they came it after me. That wasn't fair in my opinion so I left. The old staff that used to work there were very diligent about who came in to the restaurant and in what order they came in. Not coming back to this location. Save yourself a trip folks and either go to the waffle house on stone Ave or the on up in tr they have better customer...
