Cook Out — Restaurant in South Carolina

Just went thru the drive thru an ordered 4 CHCIKEN quesadillas. I asked if cheese came on them and they said yes. When I got to the window the nice sweet girl repeated my order and said 4 CHEESE quesadillas. I replied back oh no mam it was suppose to be chicken on it as well. The person who rang up my order came over and she explained that what I ordered wasn't rang up right. He proceeded to take my bag to the kitchen to "fix" what he rang up wrong. When he brought it back to the girl and she handed me my order I check it and you can tell that all he did was open the top part of it and lay a little bit of chicken on it. There is no chicken anywhere else on the quesadilla. I asked for the manager and showed him what it looked like and he said the food is portioned out like that. I worked over 20 years in food restaurants and all this was is them taking the easy way out of trying to remake foodcorrectly. I understand cook out is cheap food but it's the principal of the point of not caring that the food was rang up incorrectly to begin with and then not wanting to take the time to properly remake food. No point in arguing cause you can tell they clearly do not care about customer service. So sad because as a Manger myself no matter how cheap the food is I would never want a customer of mine leave up happy. I did not make a scene just asked a question and agreed with the wrong portioned food and left. Do a better job on caring about the job you do instead of just lying about how the food is made. Gave a 3 on atmosphere because the girl at the drive thru helping was sweet and nice and even agreed on how bad the food looked.Was gonna post a picture of it but can't, so that says it all...

Love this place!! Remember over 40 different flavored shakes! I can't say I like anyone more then the other yet... Staff here are ALWAYS very pleasant and friendly to deal with. You don't feel like you're "bothering them" when you go to give your order. Even when it's busy. They are always so upbeat, welcoming and nice in every instance so far for me. The food is always nice and hot ! Onion Rings are just fantastic! The breading is just right the tupe, cut and fresh was of onion is just right, and they are fired to fantasticness!!! Drive thru, sit down eat in like diner, and come in and grab and go orders they got you! They always have had our food and shakes ready really fast and always hot. So far haven't had any problems with a wrong order . Wish their sign had an update , more people would notice them. Funny even my daughter and son (16yr and 15yr smart, blunt, realist, tough love good heart, very computer savvy and tech savvy, both youngest) Said they were shocked to see you could get a hotdog for $2 still! Or a hotdog with cornmeal batter (corn dog) $2! Quesadilla $2 Mind you these are all without sides or anything but still like ...wow... Right So they are hooked ..and said hey if you can get an awesome milkshake for under $4 and it be awesome...you best not let this place go under and go give them business while you can! What has happened to my Cookout? My "treat night" drive through? The last couple of times I've gone, the quality of the food seems to have taken a dive. If that was the only problem, I probably wouldn't be writing this. Unfortunately, the service has taken a dive, too. On Monday, 1/22, I ordered two burgers. Both were badly overcooked to the point of having to pull the edges off to make them edible. I could have overlooked this, but placing my order is when I really got the bad taste in my mouth. Here's how it went. "Hi. I would like a Cookout Style Burger, and a single tray with a regular burger. On the tray burger I'd like mayo, ketchup & mustard, lettuce, tomato and onion..." Staff: "Do you want cheese on that?" Me: Yes, and I would like... " Staff: "Sides?" Me: Double onion rings. And could I have...." Staff: "What to drink?" Me: A diet Coke. Could you add...." Staff: "Your total is $...Drive around please. " FOUR times I tried to complete the burger order. I wanted pickles and extra onion on that burger! What I got was lettuce. No pickles, onion OR tomato. Oh, I got the condiments, too. But I went there CRAVING a juicy burger with pickles and lots of onion. That didn't happen for me. Never thought I would say I get better service at McDonald's, but I'm sayin' it now. I held Cookout to a higher standard. If (IF) I go back, it will be a long, long...
