I visited Yellow Ginger recently, and while the food itself was decent, my experience was completely ruined by the terrible attitude of the staff. As soon as I walked in, the person at the front gave me a scowl and immediately began criticizing me for parking in what they claimed was a handicap spot. The problem is, the spot was not well marked—there was no handicap sign, no blue lines, and no wheelchair symbol. The only indication was a horizontal line connecting the back of two parking lines, which is not standard or clear at all. I explained that I didn’t realize it was a handicap spot due to the poor marking, but instead of understanding, the staff member was extremely rude—as if I had personally insulted her. If she had simply apologized for the unclear marking and politely asked me to move, I would have happily done so. Instead, she made me feel like the bad guy right from the start. No customer should be treated this way. In the end, I did move my car, but I will not be coming back to Yellow Ginger. Good customer service is just as important as good food, and this place failed miserably in...
Read moreMy wife and I were really excited to ring in the new year with this place. Based on the reviews we were hopeful it would be as good as it appeared. Unfortunately, it was not. We ordered two main dishes. The Spicy Basil and the Red Curry. We also ordered some crispy spring rolls. The cripsy spring rolls have a thicker wrap than I’m used to but the inside flavor was good and the dipping sauce as well. I’m still undecided if the wrap was uncooked on the inside or if it was just the softness of the veggies.
As far as the main dishes go, The Spicy Basil was so incredibly salty my tongue was burning and I’m not one to usually complain about salt content. It had good flavor but the amount of salt ruins the dish. The Red Curry was also salty except unlike the Spicy Basil it lacked flavor. The curry was thin and just muted in flavor. Both dishes were inedible. The coconut rice had hints of coconut and was good. The waitress was very polite and staff were very polite even after we expressed our disappointment. I hope that the chef can adjust and make some changes in regards to the salt...
Read moreFANTASTIC Malaysian/Asian food. Very clean and nice inside. Very nice people and great service. Food is authentic and outstanding. I've been craving Mee Goreng for years....theirs is so, so good. The spice level was perfect! "Cheese Angels" ( crab rangoon) were good, spring rolls were good if you like lots of ginger. I don't. The egg fried rice is fantastic. The steak fried rice and pineapple fried rice being our favorites! Hokkien Mee noodles are FANTASTIC as are the seafood dishes. Sea scallops and x large shrimp are always perfectly cooked and very fresh! Sauces are made fresh and delicious. There is NO MSG used in this restaurant. The quality and freshness of the items used to make their dishes really shines through in the flavors! Everyone we bring here loves it and always asks when we are going again. Don't let the outside facade in a little strip mall discourage you from stopping in...this is not a drive by. It is very nice inside, very clean and welcoming. It's a hidden GEM! You'll crave their food often after...
