We ordered curbside pickup from this location today.
I was pleasantly surprised that the entire order was correct and accounted for, there were several sets of silverware included and there was even a ladle and tongs placed in the bag as well.
My only complaints were the food temperatures, the wet breadsticks and the lack of dressing included.
The temperature of all of the pasta dishes was basically room temperature and the pasta sort of turned into a solid mass in each of the containers which was kind of gross, honestly.
The two large packages of breadsticks that we received were soggy and the bags were filled with condensation, making them basically inedible. It’s sad because the breadsticks are the best part of any meal at Olive Garden and the salad and breadsticks combination that we paid for was over $21 alone which is outrageous in my opinion, especially when the bowl was filled literally with nothing but lettuce, maybe 5 olives and some sad looking onions sprinkled in the middle of the bowl. Included with the salad was a really small bottle of salad dressing that wouldn’t even cover half of the salad that was eaten.
Also, I paid for a half gallon of soup and received less than a half gallon. I realize that they placed the soup in a gallon sized container, but the container wasn’t filled halfway.
Because of the food temperatures and the damp bread, it is very apparent that the food had been sitting for a while before I showed up to pick it up, which was earlier than my scheduled pickup time, by the way. Plus, the restaurant was not even remotely busy, so I cannot understand why they would make the order so far in advance.
Even though there were temperature issues and the bread was soggy, the broccoli was cooked perfectly and the shrimp and scallops were not chewy at all, but because they were cold and had to be reheated, they became overcooked quickly.
The black tie mousse cake was small but decent, however the tiny piece of tiramisu that I was given was overly soggy with something that did not even resemble coffee or espresso… It was just wet and falling apart.
Unfortunately, I do not feel as though the food that we received was worth the over $100 price tag that it held. I’m not sure if we will visit this...
Read moreVery sub par experience. Terrible service and a long wait for food that most of us disliked. We were seated in the bar section and right off the bat, I knew it was going to be a bad visit. We were seated for almost 15 minutes before anyone approached our table to take our drink orders. When someone finally did, it took another 5-10 minutes before we got those drinks and another 15-20 minutes before we received our appetizers that we ordered, which we ordered at the same time as the drinks because our server started off by saying that they were running behind and there were some guests who waited upwards of 25 minutes for their apps. Our server did not take our order until about 5 minutes after we received our appetizers, even after telling us that everyone had been waiting a while for food. It then took another 30-40 minutes for us to get our entrees. My mom, who orders the same soup everytime we go to an Olive Garden, took two bites of her meal and couldn't eat anymore of it because of how salty it was. I also had pasta that had no flavor to it and almost tasted like they gave me plain pasta with no seasoning whatsoever. We complained about the soup to our server and she offered us something else. At this point we had been there for over an hour and a half just to get the entrees, so we told her that we didn't want anything else. She later told us that she split the soup off onto a second check so the manager could take it off later. Throughout this whole experience, I rarely saw our server, and she had at least 3 other tables sitting around us. I would be sitting with an empty glass in front of me for upwards of 10 minutes at a time, simply because our server was no where to be found. I understand that restaurants are understaffed right now and that wait times have drastically increased due to it, but giving your guests this kind of service is just terrible. She never once apologized for the wait either and I never saw a manager the entire time I was there. If this had been my first visit, I probably would have given it a 0/5 but because I have been to this location before and had ok experiences, it receives a 2/5 from me. But I will not be returning...
Read moreI've been craving olive garden for a few weeks, but everything is so expensive these days, so I talked myself out of it for weeks, but last night was my night to splurge a little on myself. So I dropped the order in the app and tried their car side thing for the first time. The app said it would be ready in 30 minutes..ok, cool. It took an extra 45 minutes, no one let me know anything. The guy next to me, said he had been waiting an extra hour, but the part that really got me, was when his food finally did come out, he asked if he could have some extra bread sticks for the wait, the girl argued with him for 5 minutes and finally said she would bring him 2 extra! Wtf. Then it took her another 10 minutes to do that! So I didn't even bother asking for extra bread when mine came out, now I would have been fine with everything, I get it, sometimes things happen. But my pasta was so DRY and the edges were hard, like it sat under a heat lamp for 30 minutes...dude if I'm gonna wait an extra 45 minutes, please at least get it right with what you give me, needless to say I thing I won't be splurging at Olive garden anytime soon, if this is how it is, yikes. If you're gonna go eat in, so you don't have to argue over bread sticks, and then you can at least ask for a manager when your food is dry.
Edit: so after this madness the other night, Olive garden sent me an email with a free appetizer or dessert. I figured it was because it took so long for my food to come out, maybe the system automatically sends the coupons or something. But I thought okay, let me go back over there and give them a second shot, so I go at 3:00 p.m. today which is Thursday, I'm putting my order in the app, and I go to add the promo code. And it says that it's expired or no longer available, lol. They only sent it to me two days ago, maybe it was because I gave them a one-star review who knows, but needless to say I think I'm done with this Olive garden, or Olive garden in general. Good luck to...
