Oh my. Waffle House, how often you disappoint me at this location. Tonight took the cake. Our family of four stopped to eat at 6:30 in the evening, Sunday night. The staff consisted of a cook who wanted to be anywhere else and a waiter who was on his first shift. It took at least twenty minutes for someone to come over to our table. We ordered our drinks- and forget about any hope of refills. My son ordered scrambled eggs with cheese- they forgot the cheese. His waffle? sat on the counter for five minutes. It looked at us and we looked at it.... finally it made it to our table. He was the only one to get food up to this point. A few minutes later... my other son's breakfast sandwich came- and the waiter, bless his heart, lost the sandwich from the plate and it hit the table. Grateful for any morsel, my son quickly used the five second rule and scooped it up. My wife had a hamburger and hash browns; the hamburger had the consistency of a SC Stingrays hockey puck. However, it did have a nice tomato. That beauty was bigger than the hamburger and barely sat the bun. The lettuce looked crisp as well. Her hash browns looked half cooked. My friends, dare I say... raw. For me, I ordered a breakfast platter, but never got my hashbrowns. I paid 43.50 for this, and when a new waitress clocked in - rather than be sympathetic to the worst service known to man- told me that they had a cook from a different store. Waffle Houses are all the same. And the secret code they use for orders? The poor new waiter never got the memo. By far the worst experience I have ever had. It even beat that one time where the waitress threatened to cut the cook with a knife. At least he served up the right food...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed in the customers that visited while I was here, but was super happy with our server.
We came to this Waffle House after visiting the Nightly Spirits Booze and Boos walking tour. Our server was great and repeated back all of our orders. It was extremely busy, but she made sure we were taken care of the WHOLE time.
Unfortunately, there were some rude customers who came in and used extremely inappropriate language, which I believe was towards our server (who was black). They were talking to the cook (Teddy) about the name of the server in a blue shirt (which was not their server) and the cook said "You can call her whatever you want."
They ended up leaving because the server they WANTED may not have wanted to take them because they were the other server's table. As most of them were piling in their pick up truck, one stayed behind and yelled the "N" word, and ran to his truck. I was extremely disappointed in them as they looked to be 18-20 years old.
I will say, through this, our server stayed completely calm through the whole experience and remained very...
Read moreBeen to many Waffle Houses, and I usually love them all. However, I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in this one. From the moment we walked in, it was not a great experience. We were the first ones waiting to be seated, and there were tables that were empty but needed cleaning. We waited about 10 minutes, and no one was cleaning the tables. No one greeted us either. Finally, we decided to just seat ourselves at the front. Once we received our food, we noticed the waffle was missing. The waitress told us it's coming. We almost finished our food and the waffle still did not come, the waitress was also nowhere to be found. The other waitress took 4 waffles to another table. When the waitress finally arrived from the back, we reminded her of the waffle, she said its coming. She then went to the cook staff and informed them to make it. Now it was over 25 minutes and we had finished our food. Normally, you go to a Waffle house and your food is ready within minutes, staff are friendly and food is great. But this location needs some improvements in...
